I had a friend in high school who was a straight A student, top of the class, all that. Guess what he wanted to do. He wanted to become a Car Mechanic. He should have gone to MIT and put us on mars. But he didn't want to.
Honestly, I've had pretty decent luck on the site. I buy shitbox cars and resell them fairly often. I also got a HUGE collection of Matco tools. Just ignore the "This item still for sale?" emails and I really don't have an issues. I also clearly label in my ads "CASH ONLY"./shrug
I was more pointing to the fact of calling some a "Monday". how is that even a racial slur? Someone calls me a Monday, first this that comes to mind is that fat ass from Office Space. People get so butthurt nowadays.
I only ask because I work in the tax/electric office here in the U.S. I am solely responsible for every electric, water, sewer, and tax bill in town. All I do all day is look at electric and water usages. Anything under 100kwh a month is typically a vacant property. A fridge, TV, and two lights I would expect something like 200 - 300kwh a month; largest variable being the fridge.
Either way, that is crazy low usage for a household.
We had a local police officer (white) holler at a baseball player (black) and got fired for a "racial slur". He hollered at the player to "stop being a Monday".
"The per capita average annual domestic electricity consumption in India in 2009 was 96 kWh in rural areas and 288 kWh in urban areas for those with access to electricity,"
Now wait a sec. 100kwh for a YEAR? I use that in five days in the U.S. I think an alarm clock would use more the 100kwh in a year. How is that amount of usage even possible?
It's always been easy enough to make AK type guns by hand without needing a 3d printer. I own a home-made AK that I built over a weekend with the help of a friend.
And therefore you most clearly know the benefits and downfalls of each of those, since you own none of them (not that you "own" debt or car payments, but for the others you get the idea).
And maybe some of that crap out there is beyond your understanding because you're sheltering yourself from society.
Yeah, have fun feeling smug as hell. You were avoiding facebook and smartphones before it was cool after all, you hipster you.
Not that I disagree with the sentiment that being debt free is awesome and most crap on TV is crap... but don't be so goddamn smug about it. One of these days you'll say that to the wrong person in real life and find yourself eating curb. Or one can hope, anyway.
I know the benefits and downfalls, because every week when I go to the bar to hang out with friends and shoot pool, I get lectured on who hates who because what they posted on Facebook. Majority of it is small town bullshit. I get to here from the ladies at work how they get spammed with things to "Like" all over their walls.
Sheltering myself from society? I'm surrounded by it. My job has me dealing with millions of dollars a day and 1000s of people. My phone rings off the hook and I have a constant flow of people in. This segment that I'm typing now has taken me about 45m in between people coming in.
I wouldn't say I've been avoiding Facebook, moreso than I didn't see the point in it. You want to contact me? Call me on my "oldschool" flip phone. Or, swing on by. There's beer in the fridge and steaks in the freezer.
And "eating" the curb because I feel as though Facebook and Smartphones are about as useful to me as Anne Frank's drumset? I'd really like to see that happen.

I find "reality shows" and ads that fill the screen the most moronic form of entertainment. I frankly don't care to watch people hocking their crap at me or that you had tuna salad for lunch last night. Really. I don't. Some of the crap that is out there is really beyond my understanding.
I'm surprised this hasn't come to the big screen yet. I recall reading about a movie a few years back, but whatever happened to it?
Personally, I'd like to see a redone Dune movie. I somewhat remember watching the six or so hour long movie way back when. Perhaps a more condensed version would be nice? haha
In the end, I feel way more comfortable knowing that I can plant a garden, roof a house, fix a car, assemble a rifle, reload my ammo, tie a hook, weld, solder, machine, and mix cement over trading stocks and coding computers. I have the skills to pass onto my children that will ensure them life's necessities. These skills are invaluable for us to survive.
I carry every day, and quite honestly I would see myself running for my life. In a dark room, with tear gas, screaming victims, and gun fire coming at me would disorient the hell out of me. People shooting back would, without a doubt, cause more damage and cost more lives. Its comical how I can identify those that carry and those that do not. Anyone that doesn't own/carry a firearm seem to think that anyone that does own/carry a firearm can shoot back without hesitation. This might be true for LEOs and military personal, but for civilians such as myself it would take 100% certainty to know that taking another life is an enormous thing to live with.
The media is a huge push for this. Until some celebrity has a "wardrobe malfunction" or another killing occurs, this will be the top story. Media is going to go on a frenzy with this. Its why I can't watch television. I moved out four years ago and haven't watched television in any of those four years. Its sickening.
My state has pretty much no gun laws. I open carry every day of my life. I'm often asked why I find the need to do so. I'd rather have it and not need it, than need it and no have it. I'd like to die an old man knowing that I never had to draw my gun on anyone.
Now, in a situation such as this one (dark, crowded room with lots of background noise) I would have just hi tailed it out of there. It takes MASSIVE amount of training to deal with such chaotic situations as this.
Also, not everyone that carries is a gun toting maniac either. I feel as though everyone should own a firearm and should take a training course (much like driver's ed).
ETA on FB becoming replaced?

Whats wrong with being a mechanic? =[
I request one of these to be installed at every DMV.
Obviously its one of those t-shirts with the tux imprint on it. Casual Fridays is the shirt that has Carlos wearing aviator glasses.

That makes a little more sense.

What a bunch of pussies.

Huh. I figured news artificial light and Twinkies have not reached there yet.
Nice. =D

No. No you don't.
I've killed coyotes with a .22. Not my most honored moment as it took a few shots, but it got the job done. .
I'm the only guy in an office of seven women. They're just as bad as when I was a tech for Jeep working with all guys.
I honestly don't think I'd trust anything over .22 made from plastic. My Mosin Nagant fires 7.62x54R and that thing packs a WALLOP.

So glad I don't own a television.
Exactly. All the reviews could suck. But who would still see Warcraft: The Movie? Meh, only the millions that play it.
Yep.
