Yep, just fixed my Samsung 226BW a week ago by replacing two 820uF and one 330uF capacitors. Total cost: 2€.

Nouveau *did* have reclocking for several cards before. I used to be able to reclock my 450GTS and 460GTX without any problems with something like:

    # echo 3 > /sys/class/drm/card0/device/performance_level

but since kernel 3.11 or 3.12 (I don't remember) they changed the interface to the new yadda/yadda/pstate, and we lost the reclocking ability for the last 3 or 4 kernel versions. I wish they had waited until they had something functional to remove something that (at least for some of us) worked fine.

Ok, AFAIK here in Spain credit cards are always tied to a bank account. The amount spent is discounted automatically from that account every month (or every three months, or whatever you choose).

Yes. The ATM asks me if I want to take the money directly from the account or from the card credit. From the account it's free. The credit card is also free (no annual fees).

I don't have fees for cash in ATMs here in Spain. I suppose that happens in many parts of the world.

Nobody forces you to use the google services with a Nexus, and you can buy one now in USA or Europe. Get AOSP/CM/AOKP/PA/whatever from git, compile it (or get it from xda from someone who compiled it) and voila: (mostly) open source OS with no traces of google. With fdroid replacing the play store, humble indie bundle for some nice games and DAVdroid (available in fdroid) for contact and calendar sync with your own carddav/caldav server you get a nice private smartphone.

This. I was trying to buy a <2kg, >=full hd, haswell laptop a week ago. My only options in Spain were: i) Sony Vaio Pro: 1370€, noisy, bad wifi (according to reviews) ii) Asus Zenbook Infinity: good, but >1750€!! iii) Macbook Pro 2013: Good, 1400€ (the 8GB version). The decision was clear.

Same here. In fact I prefer selfoss to Google Reader, so I must thank google for removing it. The transition was so nice that I plan to do the same as soon as there are self hosted alternatives to contacts and calendar that sync with android (which will be as soon as the OwnCloud android app supports caldav and carddav; right now it's quite useless for me with file syncing support only).

Yep, if it wasn't for the ridiculous 512 MB of internal storage (lower than RAM!!) that forced almost anybody who wanted to have a few apps to use the hackish ext2sd, it would still be a nice phone today. I gave it to my sister when I bought the Galaxy Nexus; she's still using it as main phone. Built as a tank.
