Desktop is OS/X for me. Gave in iPad to my dad, he is delighted and does not pester me anymore with computer problems...Not very found of Linux/OpenBSD on the desktop, albeit it is better than the alternative.
The Chinese did it. Have we not ran a story about Chinese cyberwars. About the deleting, it is not the first time my keyboard gets stuck, and I have to close the lid. Am I bugged too?
indeed, we server people will migrate to other pastures if the systemd insanity goes ahead. I am just awaiting for FreeBSD 10.1 to start doing more serious testing. And I think many agree with me the strength of Debian is not exactly desktop support.
Have you noticed it is increasingly difficult to find higher denomination bills even when withdrawing larges amounts of cash? Yep, war on "drugs" my ass.
And the fact that you are writing is not evidence you are not a retard. It is sad to witness adults believing in imaginary friends. We dispense very well with your religious fanatic ideas.
Are you "both" one of the retards that opened an slashdot discussion that "your ISP was ripping you off" to use it as proof to in small court? And if you rioki, are answering me both in normal and AC answers good cop, bad cop, you truly a retard.
Is there? I loved the ZX Spectrum as teenager. I know the Z80 processor in & out. Heck, as my thesis I wrote a computer emulation for it. Would I want to deal again with a clunky 8-bit machine connected to a TV and deal with loading tapes for 5 minutes, or retry the load 3 or 4 times before getting it right? No freaking way. The only thing that stands on a retro computing business is that is far more convenient to deal with emulators on modern hardware.
ICMP is *data* last time I checked, and not necessarily done by your provider. Are you doing peer-to-peer every day? Even then, yes, nowadays I am seeing far more ICMP network scans. A lot. Will measure it. But then again, ICMP are not "headers", it is certainly valid traffic. We are talking about 300MB per day, or 12MB per hour. Truth it I used to see scans using up to 300 BYTES per hour 1 decade ago. Will measure it nowadays....
Dont ask...we had a fantastic team of System administrators here that fortunately when one left the other had the good sense of leaving too, that installed EVERYTHING they could into the servers. The Windows servers had Office, and Linux servers had 30-40GB of software.
The only role of the media is brainwashing and indoctrination, from news to infotainment. If you are letting the media educate your children you are doing it wrong.
No, most casual users install just any shit, anytime, anywhere. Even in shady sites for watching "TV" or "films" they installs "codecs", or "antivirus" offered by any page at all, even if they are searching for p0rn.
I do know how will they pay without increasing fees. I am using 200-300GB of Internet per month, and I pay around 20-30 euros of Internet... it is easy to do the math, the tax would be 180 dollars.
Well fuck you to you too sir.

Well, who cares about a group of people defending a book of fairy tales? From an atheist point of view, they are nuts.

Does it print *naked* figurines?

I have been a network administrator AND Linux administrator for decades, and already put together 2 cable ISPs.
Excellent!
Last time I check fortunately is english. Besides being dense you are an idiot too.
Are you so dense to not understand than when I am rejoicing they left, that could only be irony? You could improve your social skills.

No, it is not acceptable, many of us see using she as an artificial construct, and political correctness taken to the absurd.
You are wrong, this is a way to curb the migration to streaming / video / music services over IP masked as a "tax".
Dont say nonsense. headers are just around 10% of traffic at most, and yes, they do count. After all it is traffic anyway.

Linux is not good, damn full of bugs, heartbleed, shellsock and now THIS!!! Crap, wait, I must have made some mistake ;)
