Just because there's a "(R)" by the name, doesn't make the person a conservative. McCain being the current prime example. But #41 wasn't exactly a right-winger. (Also, just because there's a "(D)" by the name, doesn't make the person a liberal. Though there are more left-(R)s than right-(D)s)
Someone sent a spear-phishing email that a head democrat was stupid enough to fall for. Please explain how that is a "State-Level" anything, much less intelligence agency. The problem with the main stream news reporting blaming everything on Trump is dangerous...Ever here of the chicken and the falling sky parable? What if Trump really does something criminal and it gets reports--and subsequently ignored as "just another fake news article"?
Then don't attend the speech. They probably think your words are also hate speech. By saying it's ok to punch someone you disagree with kinda proves their point.
Been to an airport lately? Trains don't go everywhere. Add time on each end for rentals/taxis/etc. For 800 mile trips many times it's quicker to just take a car. And logistically a lot simpler. Especially if that 800 mile trip has a few interim stops.
Great. How much did that Tesla cost? I'm a long-distance commuter; I'd love an electric vehicle that would make the trip & just plug in at night, but one with long enough range is prohibitively expensive. Until then, I'm stuck with 2nd-hand $10K priusi...
Keesler AFB, can't tell you the date, but early 90's era. Bike path with cyclist hitting pedestrian. Pedestrian had minor injuries, cyclist got messed up real bad, ended up in hospital. Story in the base paper didn't give details (did the cyclist serve & hit something?), but remember the story, mainly because the cyclist came off so much worse.
I have no problem with boycott/etc...BY PRIVATE ENTITIES (people/corps/etc). I draw the line when a Govt entity does the punishing. (What do you think if they don't pay the fine? Their lives ruined, their business closed-down, and potential jail time.) And why are their "protected classes of people"? Shouldn't everybody enjoy the same protections?
Especially since there was a KKK outfit that endorsed Clinton. It didn't make the news that much, and I won't say that she should be faulted by it--she shouldn't have to respond to every crackpot out there. But neither should people should take another KKK outfit endorsing Trump any differently. Now Clinton IS on video supporting a former KKK leader (& senate majority leader, now dead)...Is there a similar video where Trump support a KKK member or leader?
Do what Maine and Nebraska do. Nothing in the constitution prevents that. Good luck, though, because the powers-that-be won't likely give up that power to do so.
Then don't have your state be a reliable Dem or Republican state. If you're large, and are willing to switch sides, guess where all the attention will go....Hint: think "Sunshine State". Next election I bet PA will be getting quite a bit more attention, along with WI and MI. And maybe even MN.
Back in the 1780s there was concern from the smaller states that they would not have much say and be subjected to the whims of the Virginias and Massachusetts/etc. The electoral college was one of the compromises (which we seem to no longer do) that made the constitution work. Like the 3/5s compromise--had nothing to do with the worth of a slave...the northern states didn't want to lose power to the slave states due to the number of slaves down there. Northerners wanted a slave to be worthless, and the south wanted them to be fully counted. Ignore the PC rhetoric and you can get better answers as to why things where done the way they were.
One problem with this is the candidates have no incentive to come to your state (unless it's a "battleground state" or large one). They'll go for the big cities and ignore your entire state.
"We'll always go get everyone back before we leave" - Book "Leave 'em behind, he's wounded" - Movie. Just one of multiple examples. Heck, the movie didn't even have the troopers come down in the "eggs"--one thing I was wanting to see in the movie. It was an ok movie, but the only thing it had in common with the book was the names.
Really? They brought all those refuges in and told the populace to "forget your German culture, adapt to the refuges", and that's serving the German people? Or are you just trying to Godwin?
Yep. And give me a couple of days and I'll find someone who claimed you raped her when she was 12. I just need to go to the bank and make a withdrawal... If this was true it would have come out a long time ago--HRC could have used it to kill him off early and be coasting right now. Based on all we've heard and read about the Clintons and their machine it's going to take a decent level of evidence for thinking folks to believe this.
Please name one left wing government that currently exists that works for the people. Just one. Heck, name ANY government that EVER existed that works for the people. The USA constitution was set up based on the inherent greed of the people in government. It put the different groups/branches/etc against each other in order to keep that lust for power in balance. Hopefully that power craving would be enhanced by serving the people/states interests, thus getting more votes from family units (and later individuals) and states. As a constitutional republic it stumbled along, not without problems--but arguably better than other models then or now. Unfortunately it wasn't set up for a party-based system, and ultimately the lust of power by the party unit overcame the checks/balances of the branches. Hence the Party protects its own (HRC is only the most visible example) to the detriment of the country as a whole. The USA is lurching towards a one party system that bypasses the constitution--and "works" for that party. Any "for the people" is accidental--and probably only a mirage. Oh., well, we kept a constitutional republic for 200+ years....Sorry, Ben.
I thought liberals were all big about assisted suicide. Why take away a method that is 85-91% effective, that doesn't even require the expense of a Dr of Euthanasia?

One word: Quarks.

The "clock" didn't move, hence no citation available.
Let me get some popcorn....let the flamewars begin! BTW, what's the Godwin equivalent for "Global Warming"?

look at some lignite mines--power plant right next to mine making transport costs negligible.

Like claiming the riot was due to a badly produced Mohammed video on YouTube.

Depending on how they're feeling, both may get you an interview with your local friendly secret service agent.

Just because a president says he won't have his men prosecute you doesn't mean that what he's encouraging is legal...

Substitute WASP for black... Or conservative black...
