I don't believe in science...I know about aerodynamics and fluid dynamics and how things move through the air, about the certain size of rocket nozzles, and thrust. But that's not science, that's just a formula.
You keep using that word. I don't think it means what you think it means.
Tab Groups is the only thing I'm missing dearly at this point. I've worked around that with multiple windows, but it's not the same. Hopefully it comes around soon.
True, I can concede that fact. Perhaps the opposite should exist then -- complex.wikipedia.org for those looking for in-depth explanations, heh. In any case I'd just hate to see the complex explanations disappear entirely -- which I suppose is not exactly what the author is advocating.

Exactly, and I came here to post something similar. Why should it by Wikipedia's place to dumb it down enough for a mass audience, rather than displaying the nitty gritty that some of us are looking to obtain from such articles?
This is all of course besides the fact that "simple.wikipedia.org" is a thing (something I had no idea of until I started reading these comments).
It's basically an alternative to Uber Eats -- food delivery (or grocery, etc. depending on which stores they server in the area). I use them on occasion.
Agreed 100% with this. I'd be really open to have ads that follow a standard. I use uBlock Origin in conjunction with uMatrix and so I really don't have an issue if nothing is ever developed, but having a view of "behind-the-scenes" and knowing that ads are how some sites are paid for, I'd be willing to relent -- given there is a standard that is followed.
I've no personal experience running LibreOffice on FreeBSD, but there are packages for it. FreeBSD on the desktop was always a bit more painful than I'd prefer, unfortunately. Haven't tried in a few years now, though.
Has been my way for almost 10 years now...and since work bought me a MBP a couple years ago, even that almost isn't entirely true* -- FreeBSD everywhere!:)
I've always run Arch on my desktop/laptops [when running a Linux distro] but I always though that it was "too hard" for most Linux newbies. And when I recommend a Linux install to new Linux users, it's ALWAYS Mint, bc it's so easy and built ready-to-go after install. Currently use a MacBook for my main system (work perk), but I do still use Arch in a VM when necessary, and run Arch on my personal laptop.
Sys admin here who sometimes HAS to write code to get my work done in a timely fashion.
I am very proud of what I have written, but I know its probably all technically wrong. Im proud that my code has eased the workload on myself and my collegues greatly, but I am full well aware that its duck taped together with a wish and a prayer. I am also full well aware that there are probably better ways to do what I want.
I would be VERY happy for an actual programmer to sit down with me and show me what Ive done wrong, as long as they are willing to show me how to do it right as well. But if you roll up and act superior and snooty about the code I had to put together then youlll get the cold shoulder.
Agreed with this 100%, (as a sysadmin who also must code on occasion).

Same. Once the replacement get's in I'll be happy. For now I'm working around it with multiple Windows, which isn't HORRIBLE.

My reply to Lodragandraoidh also fits here :)

Not yet. Really the only last feature I'm waiting on, though I've been using Vivaldi as my main browser for over a year now.
FUCK I hope that doesn't happen to BrightHouse (now Spectrum).
China, apparently: http://news.softpedia.com/news...

Gawd I remember the hell that was being in-charge of PCI compliance for a website & associated mobile apps. I feel your relief here, brother lol!
And even then, coverage is spotty in places you wouldn't expect it to be. It's pretty maddening.

Google hasn't even caught up to Opera 12 yet. But then again neither has Opera.
Vivaldi FTW :) Hasn't caught up to Opera 12 either but...closer than everything else.

There's YouTube Red, which removes ads from videos and lets you save them offline
There are extensions for blocking adds and youtube-dl for saving the videos offline...why tf would I pay for YouTube Red again...?

* - yes I know Darwin =/= FreeBSD
Very interesting way of handling this. You just gave me an idea, thanks :)

My fave.
I've experienced incompetence with their support staff there...FWIW.
So Babb and three officers got into his car, which happened to be identical to the Lyft driver's.
The officer drove his own car -- according to TFS
