Your point?
the GP is being obtuse, but he's making a snarky comment that the letters in the acronym WNT are offset by one from the letters in the acronym VMS (V->W, etc). this is similar in vaguely tenuously stretch of a way to the novel (and movie) 2001 featuring the computer HAL. Wags at the time noted that HAL was a similar letter shift from IBM. That's it, nothing to see here, move along.
I'm starting to understand that choice at the end of Deus Ex where you're given the option to basically blow up the internet and plunge the world into darkness.
what a joke snowden is. be a fighter for freedom and civil rights, then fleet to china. maybe he should talk to kim jong un? or the malasian dude? or that tajikistan guy?
you've really never heard of valet parking? like at a hotel or restaurant? that's pretty weird, dude. the appeal at the airport is you drive up to the terminal, grab your stuff, and somebody else parks it. no long term parking structure, no parking shuttle. appealing!
California probably isn't the state to play that particular card in: their prison standards are so... exemplary... that they've been judged a violation of 8th-amendment prohibitions on cruel and unusual punishment.
then why are they so fucking expensive? state finances are in the shitter, but prison and teacher perks keep going up and up. public sector unions should be illegal. can you imagine if a steelworker's union bribed the CEO to give them a soft deal? everybody would go to prison. what a joke.
the AC's analogy fials because you could just as easily do such an act with just stopping yoru car at the airport. this whole thing is very violating because wehn you use a valet you trust that they won't mess with your stuff. if they can't do that the whole valet thing goes away. i disagree with harrier and that the problem isn't when they damage it, the damage is the breach of trust.
i would rather pay for none of it and set aside a quasi-autonomous area in mexico where we can leave the inmates to their own devices. let them buy their own air conditioned buses and make their own hospitals.
no, they're protected by the prison union which holds the state hostage, along with the teacher's union. i hope the state goes bankrupt so we can wipe their pensions off the books.
I think with global warming we'll find these "1 in 700" events occuring more regularly, and being more destructive. katrina, sandy, what next? the big dealio is that these are stronger than storms in the past, and overwhelm our defences that were built in a pre-global-warming world. we essentially need to go back to the drawing board and design defenses that protect us from global warming storms. face it... even if we stop CO2 emissions today (technically possible, but lacking political will), we'll feel the effects for the next 100 years. way to go industrial revolution through 1980, but suck to be us...
...aaand, it's fixed. Apple added the malware to its block list, which all computers update on an hourly basis. another strength of the apple platform, they can quickly shut down anything that gets through their protection net.
I think it's pretty clear what happened here... goog joined prism as part of some quid pro quo...so they get stuff like this. problem is, m$ also joined for quid pro qou, so they get a heads up. it's like avp - whoever wins, we lose.
this makes no sense. how can both guys act in self defense? "I was robbing this guy, and he took a swing at me, so in self defense I shot him."--criminal. "oh, ok"--florida. zimmerman provoked the incident and should be held responsible for the outcome.
yup, it sounds to me like trayvon was acting in self defense by "standing your ground" against a threatening person who was stalking and confronting him. probably with weapon drawn. we'll never know the trooth, because the victim is dead and can't testify in his own murder. the only person who knows what happens in those final moments is the murderor. we do know that police told him to stay in his car and he decided to confront trayvon instead. this action lead to the death of a kid carrying skittles. open/shut.
All those errors in chapter one! Me thinks no thanx. Those sort of errors confound me the most, because I try to reconcile what I'm reading iwth my own understanding of the language, and I get a "does not compute" and smoke comes out my ears.
god, I can't stand it when words come out of your mouth. i'm glad you have a new man crush - is he single? speaking of snowden, he's a total joke. just some kid running scared to anybody that will pretend to shelter him. china? NK? russia? doesn't matter, because this whole thing was about personal attention from square one, not about human rights. ideally wherever he goes he'll still have internet access so he can do all sorts of skype interviews and tweet a bunch. "they may take our lives, but they'll never take... OUR INTERWEBZ!!!"
agreed.

thanks for ruining the ending, ass hat!

leave the prisoners to fend for themselves.

before you know it, the internet is self aware. then it pirates T2, Matirx, 2001, and is inspired to choose a new path. BUT WHICH ONE WILL IT CHOOSE?
good. i hate porn and people who look at porn.

Of course the citizens are left to fend for themselves but the prisoners are evacuated in air conditioned buses.
I'll I'm saying is, I have a pretty good idea of when somebody is jerking my chain. and yes, that includes "scientists".

I think you're a retard. call me ad hominem if you like, but I don't think you will, because you're retarded and don't know that word.

I would try to get a horizon shot, with both moons in the frame. And do another selfie like that pic last year. That was awesome!
i stand for order and justice. without order there can be no peace.
