    It's not your house, you get to rent it. Don't like the locked garage and the cameras in the bedroom? Move out.

    accurate. if you rent a house and in the lease it says the garage stays locked and there are cameras in the bedroom, then what do you expect? rent a different house, or buy a different house.

    why don't you just not buy the phone? if you don't want to reward the company that makes the phone? or steal the phone? pro tip: if you paid for the phone you've already rewarded them.

    +1. some people create things, so they have empathy with other people who create things. others are just takers and add no value to society, so they cannot comprehend how their actions hut those that create. like arguing with a rock. good news is, they rooted their own phones and gave them to chinese hackers, in exchange for free angry birds (yes, I bet they download cracked versions of free apps too lol).

    the problem is in the rate of fill and discharge. if you want to fill the tank at any reasonable speed, and get enough air out for any reasonable power, then you start incurring huge thermodynamic losses. put more generally, fuel economy goes down as power goes up.

    The number of aliterates who are visiting slashdot these days astounds me. People who don't read on a nerd site? It's sad how many people here in the last five years or so can't handle homophones, use grocers' apostrophes, and think "lose" and "loose" are synonyms (if the word "synonym is even in their vocabulary).

    Frownie face... Believe it or not, when I'm banging out a comment on my phone while on the crapper, I don't act like I'm composing a masterpiece. No need to hate, man.

    the top line is high, but I think there are a bunch of incentives that bring down the bottom line. e.g. tax breaks. expanded medicare etc. i think the bottom line can come out to be much lower.

    could you imagine? assuming everybody was in the office at the time, John Kerry would be pres since he is fourth in line after biden, Boehner, and harry ried. as jack Nicholson said in the mars attacked movie, we still got the supreme court, and one out of three ain't bad.
