    When you're the size of Apple, it is no longer important to focus on it that way, but rather on the rate at which people spend money. It is a closed system, after all. (Unless you're in the habit of burning money?)

    no, but the govt is in the habit of printing money, so the pot always grows. also you have countries that are becoming more prosperous and want the iShinys, so their money comes in as well. The pie is always growing!

    Absent some fancy crypto skills, having the CA root key only allows them to MITM connections. Doesn't help with decrypting a captured stream.

    if a person doesn't know what grep is, will he learn the tool through man grep? he'll learn the vsrious switches, but he won't understand teh concepts behind the tool and won't be able to apply it effectively. what's the good in that? I say, ask google using a natural language search, and see what you get. actually, ask siri, i bet she'd call up the relevant wiki or wolfram page.

    Seriously. Even in 1999 there were stories about how cell reception would leapfrog copper wire not just in Africa but in South America (where I was living, and it happened in a total no-brainer). There might as well be a story saying that Lagos won't see a huge Blu-Ray rental infrastructure built out.
