    this whole thing has nothing to do with copyrights, it has to do with china demanding that apple kneel and kiss the ring before doing business in the country. note that apple has decided to do just that - issuing apology letters for warranty stuff, now this, it's all bogus and they know it but they're humoring the communists so they can sell stuff to the people. i would do the same.

    The article says it is only in some issues of Forbes, undoubtedly tied to CIO type subscribers. Still, I think it's pretty cool. 3 hours on a charge, etc. It would be awesome if some people with hardware expertise could get one to experiment on. Or find out it is running linux inside. ;)

    but will it run Minecraft?

    listen viejo, i forget what we were even arguing about, but fact is that apple has always driven innovation in the hardware and software space because they're not afraid to invest R&D (4bil in this quarter alone) while all other computer makers slap a nameplate on commodity products. this will always be the case regardless of what's in your closet.

    In response to a big push by LEO in CA on the cell phone laws, I recently got one of those dorky 90's dash mounts for my phone. it's great because the phone is pretty much in my line of sight, but it's still distracting to activate the voice sms dictation. So I would say it's MUCH better than doing it by hand, but still not as good as not doing it!

    I've not heard of anyone in a publicly listed company being held liable because of any ownership, it is theoretically possible, but has never happened (except for actions taken while a paid employee unrelated to any ownership).

    whatevs, the usb port was starting to make it into computers in 97/98, but did you notice that few perhiperals were available, and there was all sort of buggy compatibility problems? did you also notice that the usb keyboards, mouse, and printers used by people on any computer were that bondi blue color, because they were designed for imac? without the imac nobody would have gotten rid of the floppy disk or those huge ass ports.

    soon the same will be true for cd drive, ethernet. when was the last time i used a cd/dvd in my computer? not in the past year at least.

    nobody said it was caused by the algorithms themselves. it was caused by the HFT traders who are always on a hair trigger to buy/sell.

    bahahahaha i would hate to live/work near you. someone's incorrect opinion is incorrect until they prove otherwise. BTW it's really hard to disprove an opinion. "I believe that citations aren't necessary", you say. How can I disprove your belief? How can I prove that you don't actually believe this?     youre right i dont engage in arguments with people i agree with because i already agree with them and there's nothing to argue about. however if they are wanting to make a good argument they hsould provide citations as well. i'm not going to be a /. pedant and tell people i agree with to citation just for pedants sake. in short citation or gtfo.
