In C++ allocation is a fast business. Open up stdlib code and see what I mean.
In C, good applications use malloc carefully to minimize number of malloc calls.
Also, especially in C++ we AVOID dynamic allocation as many others have observed.
The author of the article is a mediocre programmer who does not know the nuances of his trade. I wonder if he could program in any other language than Java.
MSN China today displayed a superior technology built on the.NET framework dubbed MS NewSpeak (TM). NewSpeak prevents any hits from search terms with sensibilities like "democracy" or "freedom". The spokeswoman for MSN search group told the journalists how the system also automatically detects dangerous words used in anti-establishment sites and then rapidly removes them from the search engine, in addition to a hand-picked blacklist of words. This allows the system to handle new monikers the Chinese people might use instead of nasty words like "democracy", as well as new dangerous names, such as the name of a website that promotes independent thought (For instance the notorious "Brotherhood of Free Thought"). Not only are the queries modified, but the system also extends its list of dissident sites and removes them from all indices. Therefore, the anti-patriotic, immoral sites appear in no search result. The spokeswoman noted: "It is as if these documents are completely removed from the history. Now, there are no documents that use the word 'democracy'. This is only the beginning of NewSpeak's feature list.". The process then invokes cleaning jobs in other components of the system, e.g. the dictionary which is used in various web and desktop applications throughout MS/MSN products. "Of course, an up-to-date list of suspicious web sites is communicated daily to the Chinese security officials" the spokeswoman concluded.
During the demo, we were told that the system has already banned 56 generic words, 1948 compound namess, special terms and names, whereas the number of pages banned exceed two-hundred thousand.
The company CEO Ballmer seemed extremely pleasant with the innovation of his engineers. Ballmer reminded that these technologies would be valuable in the future of USA. He then jokingly added "Even George Orwell could not have imagined this far.", with which he obviously hinted at their classified contracts with the US government.
In the scene where Anakin prevents Windu from killing Palpatine, he utters "He is too dangerous to be kept alive" (or sth like that), which is identical to what the emperor said to him in the execution of Count Dookoo...... What would that mean to Anakin there?
:The amount of solar energy in watts per square:meter at our orbital distance is well known and:easily looked up. Also well known and easily:looked up are losses due to atmosphere from clear:sky to overcast day. And on top of this, the:cells are far less than 100% effective.
Actually that amount is great because we have lots of square meters. There are places where clear sky dominates, like those arab countries that like oil so much.
You sound as if you do not know that practically all of today's energy requirements could be provided by sufficiently advanced solar cell technology.
You also do not consider how expensive AND DANGEROUS a fission reactor is to DECOMMISSION.
Because of rhetoric like yours, they have been stalling progress for the benefit of oil and nuclear.
They should have read my paper. We did simulations for all-terrain vehicles and for ones like Talon. The targeting system focuses on killing efficiency.
I can't wait to see my research helping the next US invasion. It can kill more than 1000 individuals per hour.
I doubt they are going to get speed because they are using XML and "HyperQueues". They still might, if they are using a stellar opengl implementation, who knows:)
They asked me a stupid puzzle about stacks of coins which was easily translatable to a simple summation. The kind of question they used to ask us at elementary school. I answered it in a flash and the guys thought I already knew the answer. I said no, and then told them there are questions on the net but i didn't know this question. I think they didn't believe me because they thought it was impossible to answer that quickly!!! I was very pissed off. Those questions are clearly prepared for morons. Maybe it's also because I told them "IBM got the memory manager right, but you are still using linked lists" when confronted with their usual "linked list" questions. And then I told them the "Hungarian notation" was for incompetent programmers so I didn't use it. I dunno:P
And yeaaaa, linked list is a really top notch data structure, the only data structure MS uses! Hahah! Just look at the awesome speeeed of MS apps!!
I wonder if they have any groups on data mining. Maybe some people who do have a clue about programming could interview me!!
Hmm, I just had a look at google. Charles Simonyi invented Hungarian notation. So this guy is responsible for all the mess. It's a pity that they employ such people.
I'd made a research on
Ontology Tools for Repositories on Internet including a quite satisfactory survey of ontology subject and a preliminary ontology language design for a grad. course given by Varol Akman at Bilkent CS. Dept.
It answers the quintessential question of "What is an Ontology?"
Most programmers are too lazy/stupid to learn standard C++ or another better language.
Actually, it should not belong in Philosophy.
Philosophy is not some bag that collects every foolish idea that does not belong in science.
In fact, it is not supposed to contain foolish ideas.
We have had enough of ignorant philosophy. Dump that to the wastebin, please.
You don't know what you are talking about
Anonymity != Privacy
What do you think has happened?
What kind of a dumb fuck would not think of upgrading the system??? What good are all those package managers?
Well, I have never seen an intelligent fuck myself :)
See, the only way to guarantee the intended result in these studies is to have a linux admin that is literally dumb as fuck.
What use is a linux admin who does not know how to build a damn rpm?
what about having competent linux admins for a change in these studies?
The C++ new and C malloc are not the same thing.

You know what, opening a dossier on each and every one of those spineless bastards, gonna take some time, but definitely worth the reward.
Revenge is sweet. Never early always late.

Sure. Everything is already finished with computers.

Why don't we have an open CVS thingie for a more advanced packaging system, hey?

Cheers,
You don't need to keep every thing in CVS. I keep just my code and articles on CVS dammit!
.kde and /etc directory but then you wouldn't wanna go around and fix all those conflicts!
/etc directory of the master node of the beowulf system I was administering and that worked well, too.
:)
One thing you might wanna keep in CVS would be your
I was keeping the
My advice is use CVS only where it's necessary
Get a life Joey!
Please let's move on.

Hi, I'm Eray. How are you doing? Still doing a lot of linux tweaking it seems :)
That's a quite nostalgic hack. Have fun and happy hacking!
Cheers,
That replace the KDE logos. A bunch of lamers trying to pretend as if it's their shit. It's not.
Fuckings to them.

Fusion doesn't really have anything to do with human biology!! Reallly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks,
Drepper is smoking some strange shit. Every serious programmer uses profiling.
Just because kernel and glibc wackos don't find it useful doesn't mean it isn't useful.
I regularly use profiling for any code that demands performance.
That was a very unfortunate remark of Ulrich.
But it doesn't take a genius to get at it.
Just think for a minute little evil branden got elected. He would destroy debian in a matter of days.
