yea, the texas law is similar to NYS as well. it even goes one step further. as long as your car isnt moving, you can look at your phone. this includes not only stopped at a stop light, but sitting in traffic as well.

Obviously this wasnt in Texas, because the laws in texas specifically exempt people who are not actually MOVING from the distracted driving laws. if you move a motor vehicle while you are looking at a phone, you will get fined, but sitting at a stop light, you wont.

the problem of our highways isnt the lack of space on the highway, it is the shitty ass human drivers on the highway. in a perfect world, as long as there is an inch of space in front of you, you should be able to drive at whatever speed you want... why? because the person in front of you is doing the same. the problem we have is that human drivers cant seem to match the speed of the guy in front of them, so they hit their brakes, forcing everyone behind them to hit their brakes as well. Another issue is people constantly shifting lanes to 'get in the better lane'... this also causes slowdowns for everyone behind them. People have no idea how to merge onto highways. also because of the above points, there are always accidents on highways, causing major slowdowns. in 10 years when self driving cars are mandatory, highways will become a lot more efficient.

i try to have secure passwords for everything, but some of the things i have issues with are all of the changing requirements for each website, password length limits, etc. It is hard enough to come up with secure passwords that are different for every site that you can still remember. (usually involving some sort of algorithm that changes the password on a site-by-site basis but still is rememberable).

It is far more difficult to remember hundreds of passwords when 20 of them have a password character limit that is below 20, 20 of them have ridiculously long lists of requirements ranging from 'must be 8 characters or higher' to 'can not have any consecutive digits or consecutive characters' to even shit like ' can not use any special characters'
