    The kind of thinking that brought you Obamacare.

    They tried giving free rides to every disabled person and senior citizen. Remember Blago almost blew up a transit system funding bill by adding it at the last minute.

    Turned out they had to abandon it because they were losing money and now free and reduced fare rides are mean tested.

    I just checked and you can refill at CVS or Jewel. something you could not do with the Chicago Card. At least I always added at a train station.

    You forget to mention that when you buy ten, you get them in a roll ( like a roll of coins ). You then carry around the roll and peel them when you can.

    Chicago hasn't used tokens for ten years. They use a card system.

    Ventra is not a Chicago system. It is a Chicago-area system. Chicago and it's suburbs are serviced by the RTA of which the CTA (Chicago Transit Authority ) is only a part, yes a big part but still a part. There were the transit version of impedance mismatches between subsystem. Ventra was supposed to fuse all that.

    God what a stupid post.

    Cadence is about maintaining a steady rapid pace pedaling. Not about not stopping, Let me point out that you need to do so at stop signs and red lights.which actually are perfect places to check a map. BTW most people don't check a mpa often enough to come anywhere close to interrupting cadence.

    Actually it was Democrats that killed SSC.
    Bush 41 tried to kill a few pork barrel projects that Byrd sponsered.
    In reaction Byrd tried and failed to kill SSC. When Clinton took office the movement picked up steam.

    In a sense it was bit pork bellyish. SSC would have been better built in Illinois.

    The problem with modern chess is that it has been analyzed to death.

    To make it more interesting they should make some kind of modifications. One that was suggested a long time ago was the players choosing the positions on the back ranks. Maybe adding more pieces and squares etc.

    Also add time to the clocks. Let games last several sessions. etc.

    Here, in the US, the police helicopter is called in, as often as possible. But, that doesn't end the ground chase at all - the chopper just witnesses the ground chase, and if the occupants bail, help to direct ground forces to the suspects.

    That was my thought. What if the guys bail when the ground vehicles lose sight.
