If you're going to divide by 2 for flipping black and white don't forget to multiply by 2 unless one knows whether it's black or white next to move. Nope it's not trivial.
10.7 to 12.7 GHz is the Ku band satellite downlink band in Europe. If it was 11 GHz I would think it would be hard not to receive interference in a side lobe. I can't find the exact frequency online--only that the front end has a 1 GHz bandwidth which also seems odd. Once someone other than the media looked into this it became a non-event anyway.
Just like me! I miss free carpet cleaning (well at least the hallway), free water testing, free cruises, free vacations, free windows estimates...hmm...and always think to myself I've missed my opportunity. Then the phone rings again. We might survive this.
18+ year old theory: http://www-ssc.igpp.ucla.edu/p... I though I was losing my mind. The article, OK the summary, seems to imply no one ever thought of this.
They were required when I was in school. The thing I find funny is that, in contrast to the post, it was the humanities professors one had to parrot in written papers. Once I stopped trying to interpret what we were reading and just wrote down the lecture notes everything was good. Good meaning a passing grade. It was odd that the freedom to interpret text was less than some engineering courses.
This was just concerning the courses that were actually called Humanities 101, etc. The language classes, economics and others could be selected from just about anything in the liberal arts college--these I do agree help form a more rounded education.
The pilot of the plane delayed for 4 hours I was on did. He said "I was given 3 or 4 reasons why this flight has been delayed and none of them make any sense." He went on to say it smelled like it was related to the budget--just shy of saying someone was creating an artificial crisis. Surprising, but he sounded pretty pissed off.
Sorry. I forgot this is slashdot and will try to be more accurate with my posts. Also, considering NK is no joke (trying to keep straight face here) I should be more serious with my posts.
If they have a presence then the state will collect sales tax. The concept here is that an online purchase made from an out-of-state company will be taxed by the state the purchaser resides in. California is already trying this by "requesting" taxes from out-of-state purchases on individual tax returns. I guess this bill is supposed to legitimize this practice.
It makes someone feeling like they're doing something. Be it IT or management. But you will not be able to train everyone out of this behaviour with 100% success. The intersection of phishing emails that get past the filters and the employee who is distracted by his real job will always create an opportunity and these asses sending crap out know it. We had a sprint bill slip through. The employee was well enough trained not to click on any links but he still was upset with his wife for not paying the bill. He did look a little meek when I asked why he thought 5 other employees would be cc:d on his bill and why it was sent to his work address.
Does anyone else have a uneasy feeling about the path the government seems to be going down? I'm waiting for the capitulation on this position "We agree that the use of drones is inappropriate and will perform executions of U.S. citizens only by trained snipers". Not to sound like a conspiracy theorist but it's as though something else is being planned in the background while we're all ranting about some of stupidest policies and laws ever.
Trying to stay on topic: The biggest threat from drones is the new breed of yahoo that goes out to buy a RC plane/drone and flies them around airliners. Of course the logical progression of this will be for a terrorist to try the same.

I'm waiting for the video where they missile strike anonymous headquarters. By poking at the wrong people anonymous is about to be exposed.

A customer in France was claiming they were having trouble with their email....coincidence?
