  1. Is it really expensive? on NASA Approves Production of Most Powerful Rocket Ever · · Score: 4, Insightful

If I compare that amount to all the money wasted so far on useless "wars" by the U.S.A., it's not much.

The compact Model E aims to be competitive with the Audi A4 and BMW 3-series, which both start in the low $30,000 range.

So... is there going to be a compact Model LC for the sub-30K$ market? A car for the majority of drivers?

  8. Re:Intro/extrovert on Study: People Would Rather Be Shocked Than Be Alone With Their Thoughts · · Score: 1

Introverts are usually people who take their "energy/entertainment/etc" from within themselves (thinkers, inventors, creative types, etc) while extroverts are usually people who take their "energy/entertainment/etc" from the outside world (festivals, concerts, parties, being in a group doing something, etc).

I think the correlation between "sit there quietly" (with their own thoughts) and "shock themselves out of boredom" (needs external stimuli) fits the whole introvert/extrovert concept.

As the future president of the U.S.A. would say, I'm not sure.

I would trust Contour Crafting constructions since they're built in a single run. But not this method of printing half walls in a factory which are then assembled on-site, I'm not sure what they're gaining by doing it this way. Looks more like a 3D printed puzzle to me.

You just said yourself that most are manipulated and faked. That means a percentage, even if very low, is proof of whatever is recorded.

Just because we can't yet understand or measure something doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Isn't the first rule of science to begin with "I don't know"?

What really shocks me about our modern life full of cameras is how often a guy getting hit in the balls gets recorded. Then I wonder what percentage get captured on video and I just feel sick.

Then again, maybe "Ow my Balls!" will soon become a real show, probably on Fox.
