    What's your opinion on the old ways, i.e. buying parts locally from Radio Shack and meeting people in local clubs compared to the new online way of buying parts and kits, publishing tutorials and forums full of people helping each other?

    More to the point, what do you think has been lost from the old way and what has been gained from the new way?

  10. From what I've heard, a lot of kleptomaniacs steal for the thrill of it and don't care about what they take. If there was anonymous return slots, I bet some of these people would return the items.

    Yeah, but if it's 7000 times more powerful, than 0.18 parts * 7000 means 1260 parts per trillion compared to 400 parts per... oh wait, million? Who's to blame for this bullshit comparison, the University of Toronto or The Guardian? I guess no answer is needed on that one.

    When people talk about drones they're talking about quadcopters not helicopters. There's a world of difference in piloting those two and quadcopters with auto-leveling are much easier to pilot too.

    I agree with you that GPU options are very limited with Macs, but why the hell would onboard video and 16GB of RAM not be good enough for regular desktop work?

    Why would Google buy Macs if they don't use OS X? They could use Linux on ANY cheaper computer they choose but bought Macs anyway.

    I believe Google thinks like a lot of us: OS X for desktops, Linux for servers, a mix of iOS and Android for mobiles.
