Actually, "wiping" was a rather common practice for every broadcaster back then. Tape was expensive, etc.

But still, $1300 for a web browser. Are you serious? A Macbook Air costs that much and can do the same and more. Heck, an Ultrabook is just as thin and does that too with Windows. Leave Chrome OS to the netbooks and specialized budget devices, please..
