Yeah. No. Tell that to the UK. Their hooligans routinely break the CCTVs. CCTV are for insurance only... as it proves your item was stolen and that they had to break into it to rob it. Nothing more nothing less.
It does not replace a guard who can chase away a would-be car jacker. BUT it is 'cheaper' to operate so that is something I guess... though as the owner of a car and not the parking lot that means jack all to me.
All depends on how you define 'worse'. Will he be worse than Killary known for creating enemies list and using the power of the fed gov to punish them the last time the Clinton circus came to town? Doubtful. Drumph is a piker compared to that 'woman'.
Will it be worse under Drumph compared to Obama... who has been using the power of the fed to punish his enemies? IDK. Probably about the same just different groups being hammered by the feds.
Same if it was / is going to be Bern vs Drumph. Just dif people ('evil' wallstreet people) getting screwed.
Now would/will it be worse than say what Rand Paul, or Cruz or a couple others would have done? Oh hell yes. It would have been nice to have seen a return to 'the most important accomplishments of my administration has been minding my own damn business' and 'government is best which governs least'.
In other words big gov statist douchebags will always push the boundaries and try to make the avg citizen less free regardless of R or D after their name. Since its Humphy Drumphy vs Killary.... peeps get to choose which flavour of suck they want for the next 4 years.:(
I think you are missing the point. Technology has made geographical 'locks' obsolete. To obtain a perfect copy of Netflix library a Canadian doesnt have to go the US to get it. To use an earlier analogy he doesn't even have to go to the local Ford dealership to get a copy of the ford vehicle. S/He has to just turn on his computer and download it. Then use own equipment to use it.
This is why IP and P are treated differently by the law as they ARE different.
IMHO a better argument is does old Leo D's kids have the right to sue everyone who takes a high res photo of the mona lisa and get it printed on to canvas (as yes at the high end you can get digital copys that are as good as the original paint versions)? Of course not as no one is being deprived of it as the existing owner of the painting A) still owns it and B) was not selling it.
This is how IP is supposed to work: You offer it, people buy it. IF they pirate it, then they are breaking the law and are punished. BUT if the copyright owner is not selling it, they no longer are upholding their part of the copyright bargain: enriching society by their works.
Instead we got asshats not letting things enter the public domain (disney) and others not willing to offer their content in the first place. Offer it, respect the idea behind copyright OR dont bitch and complain when society decides to not uphold their end of the agreement either!
LOL. But fanboi tards like you will yell and scream that MS is dead if their Q profits go down 1 percent.
Its easy to tell you werent around during the IBM hayday. They didnt disappear overnight either. They just did not adapt to the changing marketplace and Q after Q started to loose just a bit more ground. As I said Apple has TIME to right their ship, but so far they havent shown the insight or ability to do that.
Wow... thats not only a bad analogy thats just plain stupid. An apple is not a custom build pc. Its a mass produced product that has an excellent OS. The hardware is no better, and sometimes worse, than Wintel versions are. All that separates one from the other is the software. Hell Apple doesnt even cost 10x the Wintel option. Just plain fanboi stupidity.
Tell ya what I will buy the entry level Apple TV and you purchase an Alienware X51 Gaming desktop and we will swap. I mean you think Apple is so amazing you should consider it a good deal right?
Never could understand the rabid brand loyalty Apple fanbois have. Sometimes they are the best option, sometimes they are the worst.... just like any mass produced product. Nothing more, nothing less.
If Apple and Steve were not one in the same... name one revolutionary product they have created since his death? A watch? A smaller ipad? A bigger one? A pen? Rofl.
If you think Apple has a good healthy work culture you are tard who never worked there. Its fucking toxic. Makes IBM's look down right amazing.
Yeah thats why their biz is down 13% from last Q. http://www.nytimes.com/2016/04/27/technology/apple-q2-earnings-iphone.html?emc=edit_na_20160426&nlid=72548793&ref=headline&_r=0
I dont hate Apple, in fact I think they make some pretty damn good products. BUT anyone who looks at what they have been doing since Steve died and thinks 'yeah they are still awesome' is delusional. A smaller ipad, a larger ipad, a stupid watch. meh. Iterations on the same old same old... nothing new, nothing 'wow' worthy.... oh yeah and a PEN for it. wow. now that is innovative:S
IBM was also once one of the largest companies in the world at one point. same with tons of companies that did not adapt and grow with the changing times. Even better example is... does anyone know who the largest horse and buggy whip maker was?
Apple has the potential to be the new microsoft: a bloated corpse that is just carrying on via inertia. They DO however still have time to buy their way out of the mess they are in. BUT their NIH syndrome (and arrogance) may be their downfall... as they never invented shit. They always stole it, refined it, and repacked it. Those days however a loooong gone as the master of seeing what would be the next 'big thing' and making the next big thing is worm food.
Up until recently salt was bad for you. Then it was not. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/wonk/wp/2015/04/06/more-scientists-doubt-salt-is-as-bad-for-you-as-the-government-says/

In the 70s it was all global cooling we are all going to freeze to death. Now its not. I use these three examples as they are all 'pop' science, not real science. AGW has yet to be proven using anything remotely close to a real scientific model. Until it is, its interesting but should be taken with a grain of salt.
The younger gen always has more blind faith in authority figures and their POV until they gain experience and realize that not everyone has their best interests at heart. Hell even some that do are total wingnuts. Stop be a blind follower. Start logically thinking about the issue. IE What can we do now and later. Easiest short term solution is nuclear, with RnD into alt energies... not a tax. Not spending 3-4 times all the money in circulation on pop science solutions. Not giving over control of the economy to nameless UN bureaucrats made up of mostly dictators, thugs, and idiots.
Protip. When someone is caught cooking the evidence they are not a scientist and should not be considered one ever again. When a model can not even predict the past correctly the model is useless.None have even been able to do that. Using such models to consider it a 'certainty'... is not science it is a religion.
IMHO is the climate changing? Sure only an idiot thinks its static. Would a bit of warming be a good thing? Yes we 'just' came out of a mini-ice age so yeah the earth is going to get warmer. Is the world going to come to an end? Nope. Will humanity survive if 'I' am wrong? Yup. While millennial are mostly fragile snowflakes, they are the exception not the rule when it comes to humanity.
No its a dead document that sometimes is re-animated and updated. BUT only by the people themselves NOT a single (or even nine) people.. as that is NOT the responsibility of the judicial branch. They are only there to interpret it not change it.
This 'centrist' is on the record (see his DC CCW ruling on 2nd A) for saying the Constitution is a 'living document' who SHOULD be reinterpreted as they see fit.
That is not respecting it. That is treating it as 'just another piece of paper' as Bush called it. Furthermore, he may be centrist by the far left rag NY Times but that is not saying much. Most would call him a leftist wingnut.
There is a HUGE difference between HANDloading and REloading. All serious IDPA/IPSC/insert fav gun sport here reload. Most use a Dillon 650 or 1050. The model number represents (best case scenario) how many rounds an hour a person can churn out. Hell add a couple accessories to the 1050 and it can do 2-3k per hour... while the owner sits back and watches. My piddly little 550 pumps out 400+ an hour. IE two hours and the average gun owner is set for a YEAR.
Considering enterprise grade SSDs (and the 750 is Ent grade...just one that is sold as a workstation / prosumer models) have multiple layers of ECC and controller level monitoring and 'wear levelling' that moves the bits around... bit-rot is a non-issue. Bit rot is for off-line storage not ON-line storage.
Umm... maybe at one point in history. But now even one drink from the night before can push you over the 'limit' in some parts. Thats not driving while drunk. Thats not a 'guarantee'. Thats mission creep.
Actually that is a flawed argument. The Geneva treaty doesnt apply to anyone UNLESS they meet very specific requirements....which the git's all fail on. No uniform. Not a signatory of the Geneva treaties. The list goes on and on.
Maybe next time try and not get your talking points from Huff Po or Mother Jones m'kay?
You have sensitive, then secret, then Top Secret, the code word compartmentalized TS. This way group A with TS does not need nor have access to group B-Z's TS files.
Anything at the TS or higher level is automatically considered TS and can only later have its classification lowered. She knew this and did it anyways. Hell she had to manually copy or photograph files on a air gapped system to email them via her server! This is not an 'oops' issue but a concerted effort to access and share national secrets over an unsecured network.
Oh bullshit.
Its one thing to have lower classified material be later classified higher. BUT there is indeed laws against mishandling TS codeword files. ALL are considered classified TS until they are declassified. You always consider them ultra sensitive and have to be ultra careful when dealing with them. You never email them to an unapproved server. She knew this and did it any ways (1200 times with 22 being deemed TS or higher).... as IDK.. she is a clinton and above the law?... and you dont see a problem with that?
http://www.cnn.com/2016/01/29/...http://www.politico.com/story/...
So you are wrong. She should be in jail.
Yeah.... to bad Obama himself help block Bush's nominee in 2007 so its is rather douchbag move by B.O.
http://blogs.abcnews.com/polit...
More to the point, Congress should not 'respect' the President when it comes to them doing their job. Their job is to be the gate keeper to what is easily one of the most important positions of power in the country.
FYI the longest time without a 9th member was 27 months. Since they went to 9 peeps it is 391 days - when the democrats didn't respect the President and blocked Nixons appointments. There is already a policy and procedure in place to handle this. If the SCOTUS is tied 4-4 the lower courts last judgement stands... so the world keeps on turning.
Sure in a perfect world the mfg'er would be on top of things. But its not a perfect world. Google basically uses their Nexus consumer base as unpaid guinea pigs for the OS, while others wait too long before jumping on the next google OS. Both have their pros and cons... neither are perfect. I prefer open source roms as {gasp} most legit creators actually care about their reputation and user feedback.
As for 2 minutes. Thats how long it took to load 6.01 onto my Sammy Tablet three days before I posted that comment. Load the files on to the external 1800x UHS-ii microSD card (yes its overkill but it was free), reboot the tablet into TeamWin Recovery Project loader, wipe, install, reboot. Enjoy. Not that hard. It really is only a couple minutes 'work'. Hell with TWRP you can even backup and restore so there is almost no downside besides lost time. Seriously the days of bricking a device beyond recovery are mostly in the past. It is possible, but it is harder and you have to be very unlucky.
Honestly If you are going to use the lowest common denominator to argue against my personal experience... I have question. Where did I say noobs could do it in 2 minutes? I said it can take about 2 minutes. More importantly why should I assume that a tech site that is for 'geeks' be populated by idiots? I mean seriously if you want to use the lowest common denominator then I could argue that since it takes more than a moment to explain to a noob how to use a smartphone that they should never, ever buy one.
YMMV mate
IDK... its not that hard to root and install a custom rom on them these days.Maybe 2 minutes work.... even on Sammys its dead simple nowadays. So much so that 'guaranteed' updates is meh... and not worth the trade-offs that have to be made if I purchase a Nexus model.
Then you are an idiot or a paid troll.
Since I am willing to give you the benefit of the doubt....I will just assume you are an idiot.
There are plenty of examples of this happening. Here let me hold you hand and explain the tax code to you.
You see lil Timmy there are these magical walls called 'tax brackets'.
If you are making juuuust on this side of one of these walls and get even a 25 cent an hour raise you are grabbed by the scruff of your neck and stuck on the other side.
The minor increase in wages does not make up for the - usually rather large - increase in taxes.
The end result? You get a 'raise' but they take more money out of your pay check.
Now these is the reallllly difficult part. If you lil Timmy take home less money every pay check you have less to spend. Thus your 'raise' caused you to be poorer.
Welcome to the world of unfair taxes instead of a more 'flat tax' style affair to government sanctioned robbery.
Yeah. No. Tell that to the UK. Their hooligans routinely break the CCTVs. CCTV are for insurance only... as it proves your item was stolen and that they had to break into it to rob it. Nothing more nothing less.
