Many here do not understand the cost of hiring an employee.
    - Yes, you have the per hour pay rate.
    - But you also have the fed and fica. The federal government charges an additional 7.62% of the wage paid, to the employer on top of the wages.
    - And there is also, added Workers Comp. Ins. charges which are based on the number of employees and the size of the payroll.
    - Equal Opportunity Employment laws.
    - And there is health care, if you have 50 employees, the ACA requires you to provide health care. There are 27,000 pages of reg's in the ACA alone.
    - Finally, there are numerous reports that are required by the feds, states, etc. when a business has employees that also add to the cost of choosing to hire. Making the choice to hire is a real balancing act for small businesses.
I think the basic formula is base pay rate plus 50%+ is a real estimated cost to the employer.
FYI I am not saying any of this is wrong, but there is a lot more cost for each employee than just the base pay rate. And in order to understand anything one should have all the facts.

TBH I see the editor as being much more important. I like an editor which is mostly/all keyboard based.

I hate mice, My first favorite editor was WordStar CPM/TurboDos using terminals. I could do everything from the keyboard. Over the years I have tried many editors. Like I said earlier in another thread. The term Net Neutrality is a trap because most of the supporters don't have a clue that it means!!!

This is not "Net Neutrality" this is a ticket to traffic shaping and selective throttling of the packets anyway an ISP wants.

    From the summary
"And throttling BitTorrent traffic across the board is also an option, as long as it's framed as reasonable network management. The worrying part is that ISPs themselves can decide what traffic or sites are unlawful. This could potentially lead to over blocking. Currently, there is no indication that any will, but the net neutrality rules do not preventing these companies from doing so."

I esp. loved this part , "there is no indication that any will" right this will never happen lol ;) what a crock ;) lol

I use BitTorrent alot and have only used it for open source downloads. ISOs for the most part.

True Net Neutrality means, any ISP that examines and routes packets based on their internal secret algorithms and business reasons is in violation of Common Carrier regulations under Title II, clear plain and simple!!

  22. I agree, over all it is not all corrupt, there is some corruption for profit. And we must admit there is work to do. Where are the concepts of peer review when we have to deal with proprietary data, secret data, the actual modification(normalization?) of data where the original is deleted?

In the tech world I just use google and type in my question and the answers are in sites like Stack Overflow, W3C Schools, etc.

The education model using the old style teaching ways is over, but those in education don't know it yet.

Most of what is taught in schools today are things that really are not needed and even the things related to the subject are out of date.

The current education system should stick to the RRR's and make sure students know how to learn and have the tools. Education through grade 12 is free in the US. Those who don't want to learn never will, those with the drive and interest can get all the specifics they need from the net. Providing they have the basics for learning.

As for Collage, the (i know this will go over badly) only reason to go to collage is to get credentials so you can work for someone else. In the future will it be more than that? Just wondering ;)
