1) How much do they cost? 2) When/where can i get one? or possibly two? (mmm... SMP....)
So, wait, i thought Linus didn't want to back any particular distro, but it seems he just wrote one for them? Also, why does a processor company need to have a Linux distribution?
Anyway, if the power consumption is anything like they said, then I can't wait to get one in laptop form. Do they have any OEMs' backing them yet?
How can you have a "Favorite Slashdot Poster" award without UART as one of the candidates? Of course, I mighta still voted for BOredAtWork, but UART certainly has more of a clue than that other candidate, AC.

The Simpsons Turn 10
·
· Score: 1
Remember the "Poochie" Episode....
With all the insane fans who memorized every episode, and nitpicked at mistakes, and inconsistencies in their spare time... Remember what Homer told them to do? I think he might have been giving a secret commentary on Simpsons fans.
What about the episode where willy gets killed like 10 times. Not quite continuous. But seriously. Willy is an unfair stereotype, if he was a dumb black guy who is always in jail or something, but since he's scottish, its ok. I think we're forgetting who made this sho possible, John Logie Baird, a scotsman, who invented television.
Steve Ballmer is a Dumbass he's gonna run this company into the ground! And then everyone will run Linux, BSD, or others. This is the beginning of the End.
-Karma Shmarma... Posting AC is for people who can't stand behinf their opinions.....
Does VA Linux Systems have any plans to sell systems with "cool cases"? Also, does VA have any plans to produce a Linux based "WebPC" like the one anounced by Intel?
I nominate myself for best dressed. I am the only one on slashdot that wears a tie everyday and i add my own personal touches (Old Navy Performance Fleece for example).
Yeah, back in m intellimouse days, i kept my middle finger on the right button, and my pointer migrated from the left button the the wheel as needed. If you are used to a three button mouse, you probably keep your middle finger on the center button, as i now do.

They spent billions on the PC, and made it open. That didn't turn out so badly for them.
actually they didn't make it open I believe the cloners had to figure out how the bios worked on their own, and IBM really couldn't patent the floppy disk, or the motherboard, or any other system components because they already existed and were used by many other companies incl. Apple.
Also. Aptiva, the latest incarnation of the IBM PC is either dying or dead allready (not sure) so it didn't really work out well for them now did it, the cloners, (compaq, etc) are taking the marketshare that they specifically aimed the PC at.

He doesn't have a controlling interest... he has more "votes" than most shareholders, but I doubthe can just "Call the Shots"

I heard that you know/knew the founders of Yahoo! Have you ever tried to sell them computers?
making it somewhat useless, as Linux doesn't support USB yet.
