Its hell registering for this stuff if you don't work for anyone... Meanwhile, Free Stuff is good. And I'm glad this is coming to the Javits Center, now I might actually come...
Nobody is covering up the GNU participation, we just aren't changing the name of a successfull product. People know it as Linux. Half of the software in any given distribution is called GNU-somethingorother, isn't that enough recognition, that the GNU name is associated with the software written by the GNU??? I think it is. I know that Emacs is GNU, but emacs isn't linux, it isn't the kernel, it isn't the drivers, its a freat piece of software, and RMS deserves all the credit in the world for it, and the GNU derserves every bit of credit for, but Linus, and the community at large wrote Linux, its GPL, but ut isn't GNU.
he prolly saw linux running the fvwm95 WM. Wnen my dad saw that, (the first time he EVER saw linux, his response was "wow, it's just windows by another name", then I showed him WindowMaker.... Fixed that.....
In the past year, since I have switched to using Linux 60% of the time and Windblows 40% of the time I have seen many many BSODs and not one Kernel Panic, EVER.
I use Linux Seemlessly, for all of my school work, as well, as for Web surfing, and other such things. And I never needed to touch,/etc/ld.so.conf or/usr/local/lib ect. The key is, to make Gnome/KDE/other a standard part of the distro. And then all a user needs to know is how to login, and how to type, "startx"
Microsoft doesn't control "everything" in computers. They still are struggling to control the business world, and Wall Street is 100% SUN Microsystems...
Actuallt I have an intellimouse (rarely used though, since i made "the switch") And hey, as long as the penguin is bigger than the MS logo, you're good to go.
They licensed the software to Sega, its theirs, so they could use it. But it will flop. It'll be too late to market, and frankly, the game console users don't give a flying fuck about the latest from redmond, its the latest from Sega, Sony, and Nintndo, that will make a difference.
Most candidates aren't. people usually know an idiot when they see one, Idiots, know their own kind. And although we don't usually elect the BEST candidate, we always elect someone competant. Indirect democracy gives all the power to the big states, if you live in D.C. you might as well not vote, you can't affect the election. Same deal for smaller states.

Right, because they wanted to be the new AmigaOS/MacOS, and got passed on for both. That was why they were on PPC, since they didn't make it happen, they needed to move to a bigger market, AKA, Intel, but they also needed an excuse for abandoning the PPC version, so instead of taking the blame and saing, "we couldn't make money", or "nobody would license it", they passed the buck.
Deskmate was a semi-gui program laucher that ran ontop of dos, it wasn't an OS. It was running on dos 3 on my fist PC, (which I was using until 1994, at which time ended up with a 486 and windows 3. a load of crap, the tandy responded quicker)

Well you should count email as internet. The WWW is only one part of the internet, email and other protocols are also part of the internet.
her hair was in one strip.
now the question...
How long does it take you tp draw and animate a typical strip?
AOL 4.0 and up can also dial PPP connections. (Top secret beta-tester info. but i never liked them anyway...) My sister forces us to keep our account.

Yup, him and Norm MacDonald. Norm stands there and makes lame internet jokes, while he and Mark Drink beer.

Libertarians are the democrats of third party politics. Reform is the way to go.
All I would use it for is the email/web, and playing tetris (the original, none of the fancy crap)
According to my limited knowledge of SLASH, _but_, I believe moderation has fixed your situation.
you''d think that a pc's opaque case would be a better hiding place for your "herbs" than the translucent case of an Imac
Computer languages are best leasrned a a younger age than when you are in High School.

He is the REAL Evil force at microsoft.
In an interview, he was asked, "Are you a `gadget guy'??" He responded (with disgusted look) Absolutely not.
When asked "Do you have a computer in your bedroom?" he responded, once again disgustedly, No, i don't.
I think it would be a safe bet to assume that he is evil, as well as stupid, and the REAL person running Microsoft.
Actually, Linux is more like whiskey than beer, more alchohol (the good stuff) in a smaller space (less bloat).
