NOAA has been found corrupting their data. but let us ignore that and look at the contents of the document, did you see the uncertainty bars? they are so huge one can't say anything from that document.

Why don't you talk about the TCS measurements that I mentioned? as the observed values are vastly lower than the computer simulations.

You cannot simply ignore the fact that observations refute the predictions made by CAGW proponents. At the moment you simply ignore all the contra-evidence that you don't like, which is why you didn't comment on the TCS observations.

Now, if you are going to install an unelected regime to enforce "carbon" emissions (a nonsense meme) and suck trillions out of the productive sectors of the global economy and condemn those in the Third World to energy poverty then your ***EMPIRICAL EVIDENCE*** must be unambiguous and irrefutable. At the moment we have ridiculous talk about "consensus" (which means NOTHING according to the Scientific Method, just ask Galileo) and computer models which do not match reality and and are diverging even more rapidly as time passes. If you want to condemn the Third World to energy poverty and tens of millions of poor to DEATH, then you need actual evidence.

Doesn't anyone know that 2016 is a strong El Nino year? just like 2012 and 2008 The temperature variation this year is natural and has nothing to do with the CAGW theory. Anyone who doesn't know this and is trying to shakedown bet money should be tarred and feathered as a charlatan !

CAGW postulates that water vapor causes temperature rises as an enhanced effect over the known effect of CO2 (a logarithmic effect, where CO2 increases surface temperatures by 1.1 C per doubling of CO2). The computer simulations suggest that water vapor should increase temperatures by around 4 C. Yet the latest measurement of this (the 'Transient Climate Sensitivity') show the computer simulations don't match reality - mostly because they completely fail to model the complex water vapor processes in the atmosphere. Hence, this prediction of CAGW is falsified, and as data is collected it is making the Null Hypothesis more and more probably (that is, human emitted CO2 is not the dominant controlling factor in terrestrial global warming, which started around 1850 at the end of the Little Ice Age as solar magnetic activity started increasing again and this has an effect on cloud formation mediated by the solar wind interacting with cosmic rays).

Furthermore CAGW makes the specific prediction that the Lower Tropical Troposphere temperatures will increase faster than the Earth's surface temperatures - yet not only is this not seen, the opposite is seen by all measurements, including our most reliable ones, the RSS and UAH satellites (and corroborated by thousands of weather balloon samples). Again this falsifies the CAGW Hypothesis.

If you are a Slashdotter who is interested in the climate system, but did not know these predictions of CAGW and how the empirical evidence falsifies the hypothesis at this time, then you need to do a lot more homework.

Oh, and I'm willing to take on and bet anyone that the CAGW hypothesis will remain falsified, because the observational evidence (that is, reality) is showing that the computer simulations of climate which the IPCC made its predictions on are diverging further and further from reality. So I'm glad to take money from suckers who don't understand the science and still believe in the falsified hypothesis of CAGW.

Leftist Collectivism generally leads to destruction in the long term, because it is predicated on the idea that the State (which means politicians, bureaucrats, plus supporting., academia, and media of the modern world) know how to live your life better than you do. That is why the Left (Modern 'Liberals') intend to micro-regulate every aspect of your life.

The Classic Liberals of the political Right want to resist Collectivism and prefer Individual Liberty where individuals decide what happens - which is why they call for "Limited Government". You mean that Government should be put in charge of providing you food to the lowest-cost bidder? you haven't thought about this at all - and you are neither aware of the food quality in the Soviet Union nor of the food situation in Venezeula today - an oil rich nation that should be more wealthy than Saudi Arabia but the Socialist Government is providing food in exactly the way you say, and people are so hungry that are eating pets (and possibly each other soon). You have not thought through this properly at all nor have you done any research into the dozens of times your idea has been tried and resulted in very bad results every time.

You also throw out a strawman conflating Government-provided subsistence with regulation of minimum production quality. Your argument is flawed from the start.

Still you think a standing army is a worthy effort for your government but providing basic food and shelter is not?

The principal role of any Government is internal and external security. The citizens consent to be governed in return for these things that citizens cannot achieve themselves. Food production and choice of food consumption is something free citizens can do themselves and Government is not required for this. Government is not even required to feed the poor and unlucky, the Free Market system produces massive surpluses and many citizens practice voluntary charity (and have done so for thousands of years before the creation of the Westphalian nation state). Charity is voluntary and effective as it is citizens helping citizens - socialism is involuntary (requires State force) and is inefficient because the Government takes around 60% of the resources provided by the citizens before handing them on.

On the other hand, please pay attention to that funny word I wrote: "basic". You still are free to buy from free market anything you want and can afford. What I'm saying is for government to provide potatoes, not for the government to forbide anyone else to produce and sell their own ones.

The Government has no resources and no power except for those it takes from citizens. The potatoes have to be taken from productive citizens. And if the potato growers are paid then the Government takes from taxpayers (takes its huge cut, just like the Mafia) and then gives it to the growers that the politicians like. But hey, if you're willing to use State power to rob taxpayers why stop at potatoes. Surely citizens need all sorts of things as one of your imaginary "rights", right?

It's not a matter of thinking but just looking at facts. We shouldn't need an FDA if things were the way you seem to think. After all there's no win-win in poisoning people, right? Still that's exactly what happens without government overseeing that industry.

This same 'UBI' system is just a rebranding of what didn't work for the Soviet Union, didn't work for China and North Korea and is now causing oil-rich Venezuela to starve.

The promise of "something for nothing" is not only unsustainable, it is deeply immoral and State force must be used to extract resources from the productive and give to the politically favored indolent in return for power. Yes, it can work very temporarily as the stored wealth of previous generations is consumed, but then the Second Law of Thermodynamics takes over and everyone lives in equal misery.

Of course, many of the rich and smart have already foreseen the triumph of Collectivism (achieved through Fabian Socialism and propagated via Cultural Marxism) in both Europe and the USA. The Cold War was won by Collectivists over the Individualists. Thus, many of the rich are fleeing places like Chicago for places like Texas, and the mega-rich have been quietly building bolt-holes in Free Market Chile and my own New Zealand.

The UBI is really about power. People adapted to the end of agrarian society to industrial society by changing skills - but the elites believe you are not competent to prepare for the future in a Free Society based on voluntary exchange and charitable works for your fellow citizens. Their contempt for you shows in their lack of confidence in your abilities, all of which justifies their increased power and massive gouging of the taxpayer (in the EU, over 10 thousand bureaucrats are paid more than the British Prime Minister, for example). The UBI is simply another way to turn Free Citizens into slaves subsisting on the breadcrumbs handed down by the State when the bureaucrats have had their fill.

The UBI is merely a rebranding of Marxism, and inevitably leads to the increasingly powerful State oppressing citizens to try and sustain an unsustainable economic model that fails to understand two things:
    1) people can never be equal as they are UNIQUE, with unique goals and desires and tolerance for deferred gratification.
    2) wealth is created. It is created through innovation and perspiration, and in the Internet Age someone can get rich without someone else being poor by creating value through ideas (software). The old industrial era idea of Marxist inequality only arising through exploitation is as antiquated as the steam engine in the Internet Age.
