No. You absolutely do have the right to express that opinion. Nowhere does it say you can't. Article 19 clearly states that. However, you do not have the right to take away the rights guaranteed in the declaration from others. Read Article 30 -- you can't engage in activities aimed at the destruction of any of the rights guaranteed by the Declaration (that would include Article 19).
On a side note, what's the deal with "according to the UN"? The Universal Declaration of Human Rights was adopted in a general assembly vote by all the member nations who accepted it (the US included -- I assume that's where you're from based on the political viewpoint).
In any case, in no way does Article 23 state that countries have to adopt minimum wage laws (though they would be required to prevent exploitation). It simply states we all have a right to equal pay for equal work (ie. no discrimination), and that we should be paid enough to live in dignity (ie. not sweatshop wages). It also doesn't force anyone to guarantee 100% employment, as someone might twist 23 (1) to mean.
It can be certainly argued that minimum wage laws (and rent caps) do place "artificial" limitations on the economy and therefore cause unemployment, or at least imperfect capitalism, but this doesn't change the fact that your country (along with the rest of us) signed on to it. Complain to them if you don't like it. Really... the US seems to be doing a great job of ignoring the UN recently.
No I was referring to how he spelt "thier" and how he failed to use the subjunctive "weren't". But yeah, I'd spell it plough because that's what we were taught.
So you have freedom of speech, as long as you don't say anthing the UN disagrees with.
Correction: you can't take away any of the rights and freedoms agreed to by the UN nations in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights... and really, neither should you... read it over... some of those are actually kind of nice.
Would that be the UN who couldn't bring itself to condemn Iraq for human rights abuses?
Yes! Damn them! Damn them and the tens of millions of protesters worldwide who rallied against the righteous invasion! I mean, so what if it was the largest protest ever in the history of mankind? Those crazy non-Americans (and un-American Americans) deserve to be shot! What do they know about what's right?
there wouldnt be anywhere near as many virii and worms and crap about.
Ok not to be nitpicky... but what's with this virii business. I mean even if it were a real word, why two i's on the end? Radii only has two i's because it's singular form already has an i before the us. Second, the latin word virus (poison) has no latin plural form (sort of like 'rice' in English). Third viri is the plural form of vir (man). So if we've adopted virus into English, and the latin word had no plural form, let's do the right thing and pluralize it the English way... viruses.
I don't know what Microsoft line you're calling, but mine had a cranky Microsoft support lady on the other end of it. For once, I wish I were able to talk to a machine instead.
My call (for MS-Visio) took about 15 minutes including hold time. I'm in Canada, which might explain it, but the woman on the other end had a distinctly American accent.
As of the latest version of Quicktime (v6.4) it no longer has the annoying "Go Pro" dialog at startup. The UI is also a lot cleaner that it was back in version 4 (and to a lesser extent, 5).
It also has, far and away, the best quality of any of the players out there. I do wish that Sorensen would licence the codec for use by one of the Linux media players though.
Terminal always had colour support. However, you had to set your term environment variable to something a little odd. Can't remember the URL of the page with the instructions off the top of my head, but a Google search would turn it up.
From what I've hear 10.1 users still don't have the latest OpenSSL and SSH patches. Sure, they can go out, download the source themselves, and compile, but something so simple should have been provided by Apple by now.
The original point is valid: if most users are going to use easily-typed English words, that's the weak point of the system people are going to attack.
Perhaps, but most users don't give a crap about FleVault and aren't storing anything sensitive on their hard drives. If they use unsafe passwords, that's their problem. Users who need/want FileVault can choose their passwords carefully, and the system works as advertised.
The problem you mention is with the user, not with Apple. Yes, they could enforce stricter passwords, but who cares? Users who need then will use them, users who don't, won't.
You don't need to update your software. If a new version with bug fixes gets released, nobody is forcing you to upgrade to it. Your existing version is still just as useful as it was yesterday, just like your existing OS. If it was good enough to use then, why is it so urgent to upgrade?
And if it is so important to you that you have the latest and greates software and bugfixes that you get your panties in a knot over this whole thing, then perhaps being able to have the latest stuff is worth $130 US to you.
While weed doesn't help any [real] ailment (except maybe worsen one), Rush was addicted to pain killers. A highly addicting pain killer.
I wish America would get with the rest of the free world and realize that marijuana is no worse than alcohol. In fact, it's better. When was the last time you heard of someone smoke a joint then beat the crap out of someone. Not likely, unless it was to get at the Doritos... Personally, I'm glad we have wine, beer and liqueurs, but if we're gonna talk about social evils, and behaviour, I'd rather see marijuana legal than alcohol if it came down to it.
So what's the big deal if Clinton smoked a doobie?! So did half of America, the rest of the world. And so what if it was for enjoyment? Good for him! Denying it was pretty stupid. I mean who gives a crap?
I've never run the Mac version, as I hate Macs, the last Apple I touched was a Lisa...
Wow... at least you admit that you hate something you've never used. Most people would be too embarrassed.

I'm having major problems trying to mount off a FreeBSD 4.9 box running Samba 2.2.8a.
If it wasn't for lazy people, farmers would still be plowing thier fields with sticks!
And we wouldn't have spelling and grammar checkers either.
Crap. If I'm gonna be nitpicky, the least I could do is spell "its" correctly... and close my italics tag... but the point still stands.

Canadians do not adopt american accents. Ever.
Has Netcraft confirmed it?

10.1 was the only upgrade version ever released to my knowledge. This was only done because it was free to anyone with 10.0.
10.2 and 10.3 are full installs with no upgrade version.
Terminal always had colour support. However, you had to set your term environment variable to something a little odd. Can't remember the URL of the page with the instructions off the top of my head, but a Google search would turn it up.
I agree absolutely.

Remember that those of us who live outside the US all downloaded the update or Windows version, but can't buy music.
Well, then, why would you want to get out a big hulking phone with a screen the size of a Palm to make your phone calls?
Excuse me?
Hell, the plugin doesn't even seem to have been ported yet!
Jesus! Ok crybaby... next time do your own freakin' search. Ogg Vorbis Quicktime Plugin. And yes, there's a Windows download. Now please stop whining.
I think that's the funniest post I've read all morning. I nearly blew coffee out my nose! Well done!
Unfortunately, Linux would be the big loser if that were to happen.
No... that honour will always belong to Microsoft.
Sucks to be you... my Millenium has 4MB. Course... it's my desktop machine, not a server.
