At my school off campus trading is something that's been actively looked down upon... however trading over the campus network is encouraged... I think if anything is going to happen a standard needs to be found first.
LCD vs CRT

LCD Round-up

Despite the years that lcd's have been around I still don't get why people buy them over crt. Yes they take up less space and if you poke them you can make cool designs, but past that they suck. I just hate it when I'm scrolling and the page gets all blurry, it's like a bad cam version of a movie.
Blah, this is not practical

Airborne Mouse

C'mon, this product will only be bought by people like us. And how many of us can actually lift our current mouse for a period longer than 10 minutes at once? At least for games this would be a horrid application. Maybe for looking around the net where most of us use keyboards and the mouse occasionaly.
This type of thing has been going around with most colleges that contain large networks. They use it to monitor your bandwidth and if it exceeds a certain amount they will disconnect you for a month (happened to someone I know, not a happy person upon this occuring).
Ahh run away Windows invades the gaming consoles now it invades linux, run run run. Now linux will have unexpected crashes with out kernal recompiles w00t.
No it would be more then perfect. Luke Leia and Han will all be about 20 years older in the film just like they are in real life. Plus they would show Leia & Han's children grown up as both being a Jedi. So GL could still make 7,8,9 w/ out CG characters for them.
Coming from a friend or coming direct from the creator is a different story, with the creator i can be sure everything will be there, with my friends i cannot.
I am involved of a user group, consisting of over 10 people, I'm currently the only one with out cable/dsl. This doesn't matter however, because I'd rather download these files myself and burn them myself, preference, sorry.
When will people decide to make certain iso's small enough for dial-up users to be able to download it in a reasonable period of time (say 24 hours) These iso's are getting far too huge for most of us to dl anymore where some can reach as much as a gig or so. Because of this I've taken to buying certain distro's, but when does this 'freeware' become costly, the moment that they start getting rediculously huge. Yes, I'm aware of certain programs that allow you to resume downloads, but for the sheer size of these some could take upto a week to download. They should either offer: a free cd burn (either they provide the cd, or you send them one of yours), or put it in stores and have them give the email of people who want their software ( these people have pre-signed up on their site and they submit it to the store along with a shipment). I'd prefer the first one myself, of sending them a cd. It would cost maybe 66 cents to send a cd back and forth, vs the $20+ people charge. Anyways feel free to flame.
I'd just ask, do you know what cl_flushentity packet is, if they say yes, gone. also, ask them favorite gun, if they answer the AWP, kick em, company has no need for people who sit back

all I can say is... it's about time the US didn't have to do something for this "international" space station, I guess now it's a North American space station.
Even the most outdated material can bring back a resurgence of new and updated material for the future. Just look at MUD's. Everyone thought they were outdated but now they're aparently having a resurgence of their own, as is the subspace community. Also, I've noticed among some com sci friends that many are looking back into the older languages.
I question how well this games going to do with big releases like Starwars Galaxies coming out - close to 600 applicants just for beta.
Two of the largest games to be released this year (hopefully) that are going to be present at E3:
Star Wars Galaxies and Doom 3.
I've not heard much about the rest of the games in the topic but those two right there are my own headliners.

This has that lara croft feel. Good looking female heroine, 3rd person action, multitude of weapons, 3d environment... makes you wonder.
If you want to get technical a variation of that is in Starcraft when you click on an observer many times it goes "Stop Poking me!!!"

Atleast we all know that the fighting will be much quicker and less drawn out once Christo gets his Defeat spell ;)

I have bought a few distros on the past Debian $25 and slack $45, however I'm on an extremely fixed income and can't afford too much.

I wonder how much duct tape that the Mir2 will be using to hold itself together.
that people honestly thought that bnet's servers would remain "unhacked" throughout their existance. Give me a break.
