Obviously, this isn't the next XKCD meeting. This is the date, time and epicenter of the Big One! Runaway!:)

We know that you don't have to be an expert - but if you are not into computers and/or technology in general, it's really hard to keep up with these things. Half my co-workers do not know Firefox, and 80% and we work with data processing, for God's sake. For some of them, it seems It's just more comfortable to keep using the browser you're used to.
And we must keep in mind that, among those who access the web, half of the demographic might not be computer-savvy. Take my aunt, for example: bought a laptop so she could do her work at home (she is a teacher), but that is pretty much the basics - word, excel, and a little internet on 'that program' that she don't even know the name.
Also, you must be new here! Welcome to Slashdot.;-)
Well... The PS3 costs around R$3000 here in Brazil - something like US$1500. Sony thinks that Latin America is not a market for videogames at all. Not even the PS1 was officially released here... So, we have to pay regular taxes + currency conversion + import taxes to have a PS3.
I really think that programming languages have all that power - as well as ALL things that may excite you up on your workplace. I remember my early conquests in Flash, which let me very excited and made me work a lot better those days... I think not only the languages, but everything that can make your humor better would have a positive effect in your days. Or Nights.
Well, while still cant believe it, there are people suiciding for this already...
I guess everybody knew this would happen way back when both GA and DD were in legal issues against FOX...
And if the series still persists, everybody knows it won't be the same thing, no matter how great are the new actors. Anyone remembers Michael J. Fox leaving Spin City? Well, i guess its X-File's spin off now... the time has come, its the end.

... car makers bundling radios, gps, air bags and brakes within vehicles. More at 11.

I wouldn't buy a PS3, anyway. I prefer my X360.
It really seems like Ive seen that before. Except that Sony has extra cash to support the console, and 3DO didnt.
A once had an 800 Mb HD that had the following warning:
:-)
"Warranty will be void if device suffers impact of over 70 G."
Even if you drop a 747 on it the warranty is guaranteed!
