Mandrake is the ONLY good thing ever to come from France.
It's the only distro I've ever used and now I'm totally without windows thanks to it. I'm a linux newb, but Mandrake has made the learning process less painful, as it comes with so many packages instlled during installation. It would be a shame to see Mandrake die.
Where's the US Army to rescue this group of dying frenchmen?
"...the chipset contains two 10/100 ethernet controllers, six USB 2.0 ports, UltraATA133 support, three 1394 ports, five PCI slots, and an integrated GeForce4 MX core including NVIDIA's nView technology and a TV Tuner."
The 5th plane was coming in over the potomac at a high rate of speed. It was reported as being downed, but nothing more than that. I -speculate- that it was shot down and does not want to be reported because it was so close to hitting DC the military HAD to shoot it down.
it bothers me that so many people can be so quick to strike down things from behind their monitors with such animosity. If you don't like anime that's fine, you're entitled to say so. But all I see is people who can hardly form a sentence either saying anime r00lz or anime blows. If you haven't ever watched an anime, I say give it a chance. To me it was one of those things that you acquire a taste for. I have rarely seen a person who has seen one showing of an anime and fallen in love with it. Most of it is finding what you like as well. Some like sci-fi anime, some like fantasy anime, and some like Tenchi style anime hehe. It can be kiddie in who it tries to appeal to (Pokemon), or it can be very adult (Akira, Ghost in the Shell). Just remember that one of Siskel and Ebert's top ten movies of the year last year was an anime (Princess Mononoke (sp?)). But even if you hate anime with a passion, lets all be adults here m'kay?
Hopefully as a CS major at a CIS focused school I can sum this up impartially. CS is focused on computer theory, usually with focuses in Math, Hardware, and Programming. CIS focuses on integrating computers into a business environment. Focusing mainly on systems analysis, management, and networking. Make of it what you will. It is possible for CS majors to get paid the same as CIS majors because most CS majors can do a lot of what CIS majors can do. Unless you're a CTO or a CIO though, most people make more with the CS degree. Just my thoughts.
