They still do make those. www.lego.com/advanced. (Goto products and check out the silver champion. awesome. and I have it). The last pneumatic set I got was a tow truck from about 2 years ago. There hasn't been one for a couple of years.
And in that great land of america you have to be over 21 to be able to drink. you can't by a p0rn mag until your 18 why should it be different for electronic distributable media. It's not a matter of being free. In your home you can do whatever you want. So when you grow up and have kids (if you ever get a chick and stop masterbating to your p0rn collection) you might have a different stance on the subject.
I also have a Dell Inspiron 7000 laptop (have you seen the 8100 yet. Awesome!). It has a ATI Rage Lite Pro chip 8meg. I run windows 2000 and play quake 3 on it. It is definately playable. I get my drivers from the ATI website. Using in the beta section. That's where they have all the OpenGL compatible ones... I had to wait ages for it to be released for 2000 but it was only about 4 months afterwards and well they really didn't have to support 2000 for that video chipset anyway. I have no problems with them. I even got a prompt and accurate reply on support for 2000 and OpenGL. Note 2000 support shipped on the 2000 cd. Just not OpenGL supported drivers.
yeah but I thought that 80% of the whiner linux lovers on/. were unpaid students that don't know what it's like to live in the real world just yet. Let alone have 20 bucks available on the credit card... if they even qualified to have one...
well I have been searching for Soldier of Fortune for ages in Australia but can't find a reseller. They should have a list of resellers on there site. I just gave up and bought the windows version... Be buggered if I'm going to order one game online to be shipped to OZ. Get stiffed by a crap exchange rate on postage as well as the game...
but Linux is no good and I don't expect it to ever get any good from a common users perspective. No standards is probably it's biggest downfall. If each application has different menu items for the same functionality (eg: Options v Properties) then it is never going to be user friendly. EVER EVER EVER. Moan all you want - it obviously isn't doing any good now... Free software must be good, but you don't here MS making people redundant. Every week there is a linux distro / company laying people off. But free software is good... Good for students. Not people in the real world that has to eat. Just think Linus is a millionaire, but how many people are poor students here....... He is laughing at you people for thinking he is a god...
what sites does IE crash on? I use 5.5 on 2000 @ work and beta 6 rel 2 on 2000 at home and doesn't crash. I have multiple instances. Sometimes 15 running at once linking to message and stuff from slashdot or my local newpapers site.
I must admit mozilla has only crashed a couple of times on my mandrake 7 box. although one of those sites was bluesnews.com that i frequent often but it has since been fixed.
Free version will be available mid-year. You can only write GPL apps with this version though. Doesn't care if you choose KDE or GNOME (or no desktop at all).
Um, back door in a database server is a little bit different to a back door in a development IDE. You just don't want to pay - you can admit it. Oh, yeah you should be able to. FreePascal I think is the project name. They are also doing a copy of the Delphi IDE (although it has slowed down heaps). I think it's too hard from them;-).
I think the link is http://www.freepascal.org. Sorry can't remember what the IDE copy is called though. I think it starts with M....

Do you honestly think they care about Linux. If they did they would have ported it themselves...

Amen. XML is wasteful. Too many developers and managers think it's going to solve world peace.
$30k USD/year is very good money for programmers in China
It's sad to say but in Australia that is pretty good also...
Wow! This was news to me...
closed source projects I think...

well 5% is better than 0% isn't it? You could always go to a live show and purchase the CD there...
I think mid 2000 has is the past now. Did you mean 2002 perhaps?
