Finally some who actually saw the film gives some insights! (no flame at you singularity, just got done screaming at 5 or 6 people who trashed the film who didn't even see it!)

I agree with most of your points, though we didn't get a Jason X trailer.

Or maybe you should just go see the movie like I did and then post a comment that has a bit of substance behind it, rather than just trying to rip people for not seeing the flim yet. Oh, wait, you haven't either? I enjoy life enough that I actually talk about things I've done/seen. But I guess you would rather bash people for the same thing you haven't done- actually watch the movie.

Here is a real review from a real person- good movie. If you played the games- better movie.

Go see the movie and make up your own mind, but this was one of the better movies I've seen in the past 5 years or so.

By the way, nice review- "the music was loud and... ahh that't it"

So we shouldn't go see the movie becuase the music is loud? Shit, you are worse than Katz with your shit spewing review.

Someone ban this dipshit from ever posting again, it may help his 3 brain cells connect again and make a coherent sentence.

Fuck, why the hell are people who equate loud sound to bad movie allowed to live?

Interesting, since all of your "gory deaths" are about 45 minutes into the movie, so yeah the first 30 minutes would be pretty dull to any 12 year old who went to the film just to see the chick naked.

Next time watch the movie before posting your spewage.

  6. Saw the movie on Resident Evil · · Score: 2

Best game to movie transfer ever. The TV trailers do the movie zero justice. Even the kung-fu dog kick makes sense in the movie. This is a good movie- starts creepy, goes into action. Not for everyone, but Res Evil fans will get a real kick out of this flick.

As to all the bashing this film is getting- half of the negative comments I've read so far are just wrong, these people did not even see the film! Seriously, their statements are just utter bullshit! Totally made up; I didn't notice this because this is the first movie I've gone to since Star Wars Ep1, but the people who slammed this movie are the same people who have slammed other movies with nonsense. Are they shills? Probably. Can I prove it? No.

The other half of the negative responses seem to focus on a single subject- not enough gore, bad dialogue, whatever. Yeah, even "Gone to the Wind" had a few weak points, but whatever.

Yes, this film has flaws, but I would say it has a whole lot less flaws than most films. But let the flame boys go jack themselves, and just go watch a matinee showing of the film- you will be pleasantly surprised.

Ah, yeah. In Microsoft vs. the DOJ, do you see all of the thousands of MS employees showing up for every court appearance? Generally the plaintiff does not need to show up except when they will be questioned, and in the case of company/state/federal gov the whole world does not need to show up. The state or fed gov has been enpowered by the people to act in their steed.

SideshowBob- besides the cool name, you are wise beyond your years (even if you are 200 years old!). My company uses Netscape mail, which is sure to get all kinds of ridicule from people here. Guess what? We have had 1 virus invasion in 4 years, and that was one of the IIS viruses (or is that viri?) that hit our development boxes. We have dedicated staff to that track email viri, we use Norton AV, and we get emails to update our virus definitions before Yahoo posts a story about the current virus invasion. Basically, I believe that most companies give mere lip service to REAL security, while my company busts ass trying to keep us safe.

Shit, this is about my 15th post already. All your companies suck. (except sideshow- he has a clue, for fucks sake!)

My company is rated best in all kinds of stuff year after year- the secret? we only hire the best employees. When we get the crunch, we work straight through Xmas and New Years (like I did this past December), but when we are light (like now, for me) we get slack for not doing real work. Go find a good company to work for, or better yet go start a good company to work for. We make shit loads of money, pay shit loads of money, and have no problems with viri. Go figure.

These companies are out there, you just have to look, and be good enough to qualify to work there.

And if you did this in my company, we would grind to a halt in about 30 seconds. This difference between your company and mine, apparently, is the quality of your employees. We have had 1 virus outbreak in the last 4 years. And did anyone ask your CEO where he was posting his email address? No? Thought so. Of course we also don't use Outlook, so go figure.

This is the reason we're the #2 consulting company and you have to block .exe's.

  16. Bad idea on No More Unrestricted Internet At Work · · Score: 2

I work for one of the big six consulting firms (currently #2), and while we do have official policies regarding web and email use (standard porn, etc.), they are not enforced. Why, you ask? One, we hire good, productive people, and we get rid of those who are not. Two, our corporate IT department is smart enough to know that once you start censoring some sites/email then it goes downhill really quick. And considering that 3/4 or more of our business is IT, corp IT would get bitchslapped quick if they tried any of this. I do monster research on the 'net, and send and get all kinds of various email attachments; curtailing my usage (and most of my co-workers) would be a massive fuxor.

In the 4 years I've been here, we got hit with 1 virus (nimba maybe?). Rather than do all this draconian shit, how about you just hire better employees? Yeah, it's a real pain in the ass (I went through 6 different interviews for a level 1 position), and we outsource our trivial tasks (computer help desk, travel department), and you have to pay them more, but you bypass all this stupid shit.

    How is this off-topic?!??!

Let me explain to those twit mods that didn't read any of the articles (christ, you should have understood it from the "Tarriffs" part of the TITLE of the article!)-

The AC is referring to the 2nd to last article in the post. It talks about a Canadian bill which would impose levies on recordable media. CD-RWs would get about $0.60 (Canadian dollars I believe), CD-Rs $1.20, DVD recordable of all types about $2, and $20/GB for harddrives in MP3 players. Think about that last one- the iPod (5GB) just jumped $100 due to this proposed levy.

And the worst part of the bill is that it states that there will NOT be any exceptions for fair use (ie, personal copy). None. They just assume that every single recordable media unit sold will be a dent in profits. This is not a good thing.
