The only valid advice is that there is no valid advice.
People are not machines, you can't open a book, like if it was a manual, and find all the pearls of wisdom there.
Marriage is like any other human relationship (really) and for that reason no amount of advice will prepare you about how to progress that relationship.
Once everything is done and dusted, who will be better off? Who will be worst off? (hint: politicians and CEOs of companies enriching itselves with the fat contracts are not going to be the ones harmed in another round of military adventurism).
When are USians going to wake up and smell the coffee?
Advertisement is expensive because the people working on that industry believe they are second tier artists, and actually aspire to live the same lifestyles of the rich and famous that they promote with their "services".
The music industry is so discredited that they are compared unfavorably with other cartels (the Colombian drug ones for example) or other fine organizations like the Chicago mafia.
Musicians had come forward to tell how they risk everything while music labels risk precious little, the onerous terms of their contracts have become the stuff of legend.
This bullshit about the music coming from the heart is nonsense.
Some music may come from the heart, but most of it is just like anything else: a way to get the bills paid, a job that is undertaken for utilitarian purposes, and this includes most musicians you care to name.
It is also perfectly legitimate to want to become rich by playing music, but is also legitimate to want to become rich making computer programs, websites or tinkering with hardware.
What is not legitimate is to expect to become rich by doing nothing, which is what many people in the music industry (a perfectly adequate sentence, please drop the sentimental dross) come to believe was their birthright.
Many people are decrying that they can now make a living only by performing! When people utter such musing you know how dettached from reality they have been, all courtesy of artificial and abusive copyright terms and restrictions.
The history is that Netscape costed money nad that Microsoft gave away their browser and, using their dominance in the desktop operating system market, pushed their browser into every computer, most likely by strong arming business partners.
That is the history, all what you are saying is incidental to the real issues at play....
.... I prefer to chose that it really matters and that it makes sense to punish them now.
Which neatly brings me to my second point: are you by any chance advocating to pardon anybody that brakes the law if enough time has passed since the offence was committed? Regular people would be defenceless against big corps who would only need to hide their tracks well enough in order to get away with, well, murder....
Lets see, nowadays most "news" are nothing but regurgitated press releases from the government or private companies pursuing an agenda.
Newspapers have not explored the possibility to charge people and organizations that want exposure under the guise of informed debate.
The readers are not going to pay, it is that simple.

There was nothing like this 2 or 3 years ago. Nothing.
Progress is slow, but steady.

Linux is great, but it bites the dust when compared against UNIXes like AIX and Solaris.
Really, it does.
To portray UNIX in that light is simply ignorant.

Stop reading, start thinking and feeling.
In Spanish k, q (as in que, qui) and c (as in ca,co, cu) sound exactly the same.
And education?
And housing?

Inquiring minds want to know.
Thank you for pointing that out.
All the rest is fluff.
You were impressed by being sold an overpriced guarantee?
They are open about it and people get along fine with products in a beta phase.
The game industry could learn some lessons from that.
... is not a good product.
There is no reason whatsoever why I should need a third device in order to use a bloody mobile phone.
Which is one of the several reasons I have not even contemplated getting an iPhone
A proper percussionist can play drums loud or soft, as required.
Please, lets not go down there.
Advertisement is expensive because the people working on that industry believe they are second tier artists, and actually aspire to live the same lifestyles of the rich and famous that they promote with their "services".
Because people that do not learn from history, frankly deserve to be derided in any way possible.
You said "he big label records AREN'T there to fuck everyone over."
The reality:

So they screw both artists and consumers.
And that is only for starters...
Please, get real.

..... that such a basket case would arise in the fringes of the civilized Western European area of influence.
What you describe is typical of tin pot dictatorships ....

The lack of quality is not the issue, I just don't get why there is people out there bringing it up.
The issue is a company deciding to exterminate a competitor using their monopolic position in an abusive manner.
If Netscape was crap or not is frankly unimportant to the matter of general principle that is Microsoft abusing their position.

I can't believe they would be that clueless.
It may well be just an accountant's address ...
I have one phone for work, one for my regular life.
People in my contacts list rarely find their way in both phones.
