Why do my friends need to know what's going on with my life?
The sane way to communicate this is by point to point communication with each one of my friends, allows to interchange the information that is relevant to each one of us about each other.
The informational diarrhoea that is is Twitter is a fad which hopefully will die an unhypped death soon.
Athletes, scientists and many other people with some natural talent have to work their socks off and probe themselves on their chosen disciplines.
Monarchs do nothing of the kind, and they don't need to, their position assured by being born in the correct family at the right time.
The mentality of subservience, which only remains in very few places with the distasteful institution of a monarchy, is an anachronism which will be seen with embarrassment by our children and grandchildren.
Those people have no democratic legitimacy whatsoever, they had even less before Blair tinkered with it.
How can somebody advocate that in a democracy, somebody unelected and whose position of influence comes from patronage, should have any role telling us which laws should govern us.
It is a travesty and a mentality only exhibited in countries where people have been brainwashed to believe there are people that deserve to be better by virtue of their parentage.
The satirical Magazine, "Jueves", was fined for publishing a cartoon of the Prince and his wife having sex as social commentary to the benefit system for families with children.
This is just for starters, I am sure we can find such succulent tidbits about different European families without any problems.
All my former colleagues were experiencing varying degrees of pain, which could only be relieved by changing mousing hand or the device altogether. A couple of them actually needed physiotherapy and one of them surgery.
Cheap mice will get you eventually. People not spending the necessary amount of money in ergonomic devices will be creeps, this is not a matter of if, it is a matter of when. Those of us that spent our $100 early in life and live without pain are in no doubt about the correct course of action.
What is wrong with the intellectual insights of children? Very often they don't beat around the bushes and tell it like it is. Children are not morons.
Uneducated? Honestly, where have you been all these years when the pursuit of profit by this company has meant the consistent breaking of the law in different localities worldwide?
M$ is a moniker far too polite to refer to this company.
Every single organization I have worked with has training costs already in place.
You keep using Office, you train people, you use something else, you still train people. All that mumbo-jumbo about productivity is not being measured anywhere where they actually need to get things done, and administration changes would be minimal (what would that be btw?)
And what about this nonsense about IT departments being familiar with something as an important factor for adoption? If this was even remotely relevant we would still be doing computing with WordPerfect and Lotus running in MSDOS. After was what everybody was familiar with.
There is a point when changes must be introduced because the benefits are too obvious.
Replacing MS products has reached that stage, it is only inertia what is stopping businesses from doing so, costs are frankly negligible and technical merit is beyond doubt at this point.
The training "issue" is a red herring, any skills you may have acquired using MS Office are perfectly transferable to OO.org
The people that will survive will be the ones that organize themselves first.
They will dispose of the loonies that decided to go on their own in the purest survivalist of styles.
Humans thrive when they cooperate with each other. There is no example of humans surviving on their own for any long periods of time, no matter how skilful, and in any case an isolated individual is a failure from a very biological reproductive point of view.

I have got news for you: your agricultural produce will go to hell, your children and elderely will not be tended, you will not be served.
Any keyboard using the typewriter layout is defective by design.
Uncountable cases of people with RSI and carpal tunnel attest to this.
More like 25% or thereabouts.
Look it up.
Honestly, you are really demanding far too much from friendship.
The two idiots that supported your adventurism, Blair and Aznar, are now retired and generally reviled as failed politicians.
The French saw through Bush's bullshit and decided to let him on his own.
BTW, the French have being helping in Afghanistan, as do the Germans and others that opposed Iraq.
Perhaps your country should listen more to those friends that do not always agree with you.
And Fermat have proof of a little theorem, but did not write it neither.
Which in practice meant we had nothing.

That does not make them wise.
In my own country all these titles have no validity whatsoever.
When Mr Pratchet visits there he will be addressed as Mr Pratchet (in English), nobody will address him as Sir.
Frankly it is beyond comprehension ....

I paid close to $100 for my mouse.
It is wireless, optical, can be used as a regular mouse, a trackball or with only one hand as a pointer for presentations.
It is also ergonomic, it comes with different adjustments for gripping, has a wheel and works with Linux out of the box.
The battery lasts for long and you can recharge it while continue working.
Worth every single penny I paid for it.
I change batteries on my mouse once a month at most, I use the computer at least 4 hours a day, often much more than that.
I thought credibility was measured by analyzing the validity of other people's comments.
I can use M$ to refer to this company and that should not dent my credibility in the slightest as long as this use is backed up by informed opinion.
Who are you to decide what is childish or mature?

... when it stops ringing true.
In smaller shops, less likely but not unheard off.

I had. A small one close to a smallish volcano.
You simply have no idea what you are talking about.
Organization gives strength.
Isolate and perish. It is that simple.

... the one bogged down in Afghanistan and Iraq?
You write all that bullshit and one wonders in which planet it is actually true.
IN a volcanic eruption of the one we are talking about you will have no sunlight for several months and most sources of water would be contaminated.
Only people in the other side of the world would have any realistic chance to make it on their own, pretty much everybody else would be doomed.
