The 1 in 100,000 chance is per year and for acoustic neuromas in general. so you still need to compare to 1 in 700,000 first of all, and they're saying the chance is doubled from 1 in 100,000 per year.
I happen to have an acoustic neuroma. I was diagnosed with it at the age of 24 (I'm now 25) which is very young for it to occur. This study makes me woner. Although, I didn't start using a cell phone until 5 or 6 years ago.
This site is only partially finished, but you can see an online ANSI art gallery (of all groups) at http://ansi.idledreams.net. Hopefully it won't crash too hard from/.:)
No, I use.NET's caching.:) I do have a specific timeout set, but it's in the magnitude of days. And as we both said, the server was accessible the whole time, the GDI++ stuff just has some memory issues at times.
OK. It died even quicker than I expected. The site loads fine,b ut if you get broken images all over it's because the server has run out of RAM (it sucks). Check back later and it should be fine. I swear the site works:)
It'll probably get slashdotted quickly, but for those who remember ANSI Art groups like iCE and ACiD I am in the process of creating a library of their packs viewable online. http://ansi.idledreams.net for the actual site and http://idledreams.net/ansi/ for news about it.
If this actually gets clicked by many people it will crash quickly, but for the few that make it to the site before it's completely bogged down, Idle Dreams has a massive ANSI Art Library (thousands of art packs). I'm working on a new version, but this one is functional at least. Not the greatest bit of work, but the artwork is there.
I believe the issue is that money was spent on him, but it was worthless. He would much rather see money on his paycheck than a bobblehead of the CEO that is going straight into the garbage.
For those that still want to see ansi art: http://www.sixteencolors.net/ -- It needs a lot of work, but it's there.

There are a couple of RIP images in the pack.
I'm sure this was just a purposeful jackass comment, but http://www.ice.org
iCE still releases every single month. Their tiles project (http://tiles.ice.org) has also been very successful.

That has nothing to do with it. ;) It's not really a production quality server. It's actually handled the /. audience pretty damn well.
And don't forget ASCII sites
:)
http://www.mimic.ca
OK. I'm lame and only know one ASCII group site.
If it supported Unicode it wouldn't be ASCII.

From the information I've seen, Google is capturing URLs in channels, not the actual conversations.
Do you have anything that isn't on mimic.ca's ftp?

idledreams.net is online, it's just hampered by a slow setup, i'm working on recoding it, though
:)

http://www.idledreams.net/ansi/ is the correct address, enter with your own patience
