I went there when it was still called FTU. I remember the exact same thing. I remember seeing someone drop a large box of cards in the Florida rain which of course meant they lost everything. I went there 1977-78... when were you there?

I loved this movie! I'm looking forward to seeing it again. I guess I'm a sucker for Super Hero movies, but I loved Thor and X-Men first class too. Much better than the Spiderman movies... those were yawners.
I don't think GMAIL/GOOGLE is looking inside the zip files. I just did a test with a ZIP file that contained a BMP file and it wouldn't let me send that. I think it just bitches about any zip file. (A real PITA by the way.)
I heard of them and yes they were very innovative. They were designed by the same guy who designed the commodore pet. (Chuck Peddle)
I did some contract work for Kodak in the 80's and they used the Victor 4000 to control Microfiche printers. (The Tandy 2000 and Victor 4000 were both very innovative MS-DOS compatibles introduced during this period, but since they weren't also PC-Compatible they failed miserably.)
By the way... I believe that Steve Wozniak's floppy controller (Apple) used the same variable speed techniques.
Lucifer's Hammer is my favorite book (by far), I read it a couple of times a year. Also almost anything by Larry Niven or James P. Hogan. (Some of Hogan's books might be difficult for a 13 year-old, but they are a great read.) For an easy quick read, the Star Trek novels are pretty good.

If we are going to adopt electric cars in a big way, we need this badly.
Glad to hear it.

re: Its a vast improvement over the three sea shells.
How many people are going to get this reference? I'm sorry to admit that I just watched that movie recently.

I'm sure the people who operate this site have SRJC in their email addresses. Are they going to be sued too?

That was unbelievably similar to my life story. Same IQ result, same number of kids, tested 2nd grade, no differences at all.
Kind of scary.

Will the airlines allow these fuelcells on their planes? All flammable liquids are currently banned, why wouldn't these be?

No you can't. It requires a ARM processor. None of the current PalmOS models can be upgraded to PalmOS-5.

Ringworld, Tales of Known Space, ARM, Lucifiers Hammer, etc.
Simply one of the best.

Polaroid sued Kodak out of the instant photo market even though Kodak had a vastly superior product.

Normally the abdomen is inflated with CO2 for this type of surgery. So her stomach may not normally be beachball shaped.
