Looks like the same list of criticism I could level against any course I have ever been taught. So no surprise its not perfect. The surprise is that almost anyone can take it.
With Armstrong gone the age of American space exploration slowly begins to come to an end. There is still hope for the future though as the Chinese seem determined to take on the mantle. But at this moment we have to salute the Apollo program, all who worked on it and the focal point, the first man in history to walk on another world Neill Armstrong. An explorer who went back to college after this momentus event. What a guy!
You display the ignorance that indicates that you are a drone repeating the mantra instilled in you by propaganda. There are plenty of countries doing very well with universal healthcare. The majority of them also offer private health care for the rich who think they can buy their way to better health with additional insurance.
Without universal healthcare people live in ghettos and a country is full of factions at war. Apparently Mexico is a more civilized country than the rich antisocial faction of Americans would like it to be. Sometimes you wonder if the rabid religious nut-jobs who declare America to be the great Satan might have a point.
In the UK you can walk down the street and carry nothing. In your paradise you can be detained by police/security services for not carrying your ring through your nose/ Id card.
Go to hell moron you have no idea what you are talking about.
Excellent summary. Don't think Cameron is actually insane myself, just think that he and his team are less competent than they should be.
Other than that yes, revolution is a very expensive way of fixing a problem and democracy is a pretty lousy way of running a country.
It wouldn't surprise me if Cameron (or more likely the blessed civil service) has floated the idea of storming the embassy because he is so stupid that he thinks we might put up with the idea.
We might even have said yes if the objective is to detain a murdering gunman. It will destroy Cameron credibility if we invade a foreign embassy as part of a illegal plot to rendition an irritating dork like Assange to the home of democracy and ethical decency - Guantanamo Bay. No way, that is not going to be something done in my name however damaging to US intelligence Wikileaks is and however misanthropic blond haired lover boys bedside manners are. (Am I the only person on the planet who sees Assange to be an irritating culturally inept bully?)
I suppose you jokers in the States have managed to change your government recently as an example to us fellow democratic people in the UK.
Even if you change your government at the voting booth, the people you get back are still beholden to the establishment - to the stock market, to the whims of the super rich, to their old college or school friends, to their spouses families, to the government workers who feed them the same slanted data that they fed the last lot, to the ranting rhetoric of their parties who only care about being on message and don't give a hoot whether the message is useful or not, to the businesses that fund their campaigns. Corrupt as hell the whole lot of them.
You absolutely have to be kidding that there is any prospect of changing what a government does by electing a new name in. About the only thing you can affect is whether the new lot will start a foreign war or feed or starve the very poor. Nothing else ever changes because they cant change it.
Stuff your stupid democracy up your arse. The only thing that makes it better than anything else is that if a government tries to do something really gross like get rid of a $14 trillion deficit or make health care insurance compulsory - that the outraged media and the public can expel them from office and install the next set of crackpots.
Invading the Ecuadorian embassy would be wrong. Though I'm not impressed with the ethics of that idiot Assange who slept with two different women expressly ignoring their requests that he use a condom. It may not be a criminal offense across most of the world but the guy is obviously a cultural bully as this behavior is definitely unethical in Swedish society.
But if we do invade the embassy citing the law brought in after a gunman shot a policewoman from the inside of the Libyan embassy in the 80's then yes it would be time to call for a change of government. I wouldn't bother voting though.
win 8 is for 3 billion chinese farmers, the traditional user base can fuck off. The total adressable market is many times larger than you shits with your desktop machines.
Actually the Win xp menu is easily customisable unlike the vapid shit offered in win 7 so its actually a greater backwards step to upgrade to not metro from xp than from win 7 which is already half way to being total shit in the start menu department. Microsoft are brainless bastards who deserve to lose.
There are well established security testing methods such as FIPs certification. It cost money to implement defenses and it costs money to do the testing. That is often what you are paying for in more expensive products. You will also probably get hardware that works over a wider temperature range and a product that has been through accellerated life testing and meets the published specification on every single unit made. Take your pick, you can buy products cheaply that usually do the job without problems or you can pay more and get product that is guaranteed to do what it is specified to do and wont have any wrinkles like potential security vunerabilities. There are markets for both kinds of product, you need to pick the one that fits your use case.
Its a dreary dirge, and so long as you are in the mood to listen to an extended dreary dirge its fine. Its not what I would call exciting or emotionally involving music though. Possibly best enjoyed with a good snort of horse tranquilizer?.
Actually what killed Concord was that we have to be at the airport two hours before the flight and that it takes three hours to get to a transcontinental hub. The terrorists killed rapid transport, they won and we live in a terrified world ruled by health and safety lawyers. Enjoy your cotton wool.
This thing about some factions in the US hating everything the government does is incomprehensible in Europe. Some things a government does are good and some are bad but a conviction that everything must be either good or bad is obviously the sign of a failed intellect. How did your politics become so meaningless and manipulable by marketing exercises? Is it just the way media has become so powerful or is it that Americans have become stupid?
To my mind there are some human enterprises that would benefit from government funding. Finding drugs or vaccines to cure chronic diseases of the poor or gene patents would be a good start as both these areas are in markets with poor linkage to externalities. Fundamental research with no obvious application to commerce is another.
There are plenty of things governments are not very good at doing. Making things and delivering them to customers is one.
It is not at all surprising that the Government had a large role in creating the internet. A private enterprise would have invented something that could make much more money using the business models of the time. There wouldn't be any of this nonsense about allowing so much traffic that doesn't result in direct monetary transactions.
Fine for an exec reading their email and calling people to tell them they are fired but utter excrement if you are a salesman, engineer, document writer, project planner etc. You know the useless scum that actually do the work and don't need stock options because we can just fire them and get someone more subservient to do the job. Yes windows 8 and Android will be fine for all organizations that don't actually do anything.
The EPEAT website lists some interesting requirements along with the EU hazardous material content and recycling common sense. They also specify that three year extended warrenties must be available and that memory must be upgradeable and that repair must be possible up to five years after production ends. I doubt this fits Apples business model even if this too might be considered green common sense. Who wants to be burdened with supporting customers when you could just sell them the next model, silly customers...
In other news a Tech company patents wiping your arse. Seriously these people need to find work as the devil has them realy busy right now. Vermin.

I'm with Clinton Earth is so screwed that the only option is to get some people out of here.
I live in the UK and if this is true I will be campaigning for Hunt to be destroyed.

Re my previous post
All Ubuntu are doing is adopt Apples marketing methods.
Shit on the users and make them pay.
All we are watching is Microsoft catch up on Apples marketing model.
Shit on the users and make them pay.
Must be a slow news day at slashdot towers

A-hem. I think you are discussing "Quantum Particle", that's something distinct from a "Particle" or a "Wave". Just thought I'd help you out with the jargon there. A quick google gets you this to explain http://www.empiricalzeal.com/2011/06/10/why-a-quantum-particle-is-not-like-a-water-drop-a-tale-of-two-slits-part-1/
Politics not science decides questions like this. You get what you vote for, serves you right.

Never mind the warrenty, what about adding to the memory?
