Now I have to start moving all of my Yahoo email stuff over to Gmail...I'll miss the folders options that yahoo has, but maybe the flag thing that Gmail uses will be better.
I live in Utah and have to put up with this nanny shit all the fucking time..this is just something else from people are too clueless to know what the hell is going on..
The scary thing? These fucking morons get re-elected every time cause they bring out the Mormon and Family Values cards and the sheeple eat it up...
Of course maybe if your company (and I don't know if I buy that a MS employee of any kind is allowed to read Slashdot) had learned to play nice with the other kids rather than trying to kick everyone out of the park and take everything, you wouldn't have to lose all this production time and such...
Just remember M$ lackey, what goes around comes around..
Strangely enough, the fact that there is now only one High Def DVD format doesn't make me want to buy it? Why? Oh I know, I don't have the HDTV or the audio system or any High Def DVDs so it would be pointless for me to buy any of it...
goes through, I'll have to dump my Yahoo account and switch over to either Gmail or.Mac. Either one is better than helping Microsuck in trying to destroy the Net.
I can live without either format. I don't have a HDTV so it wouldn't do me any good and all of the DRM stuff makes me not want to get either one. I'll just stick with the regular DVD until I can't buy it anymore.
Wow aren't you a tool. I see no reason for HD anything if I don't have to get it. And since both formats are designed to screw the customer (HD-DVD needing to be plugged into a network?! Blu-Ray from a company that has shown it doesn't give a rat's ass about customers?!), I am hope they both die off..
Don't have a HDTV, so I don't need either. On top of that, the HD-DVD player has to be plugged into a network connection?!?! I don't think so. I should be able to watch something without having the player contact God knows who for some reason..
Based on what you just posted, I suppose that means you want AMD to fall by the wayside and Intel to be the only game in town? Hope you enjoy paying higher prices for your CPU's after that..
AMD will go to a distant second and then Intel will raise their prices. We will also get the joys of DRM built into the chips (since there wll be no other major CPU manufacturer)...
Fun...I am going to go buy some cheap chips now while they are still available..
That is a nice thought, but it will never happen. Once a company gets big enough, the only thing they care about is getting more and more money. Wal-mart is a prime example of this, since all they care about is money and nothing else (help the employees? Cheaper to hire to new ones!)

Pretty much...just another normal day.

Maybe in a few years...

I'll stick with my 'old' DVDs thank you.

I rented a copy of Battlefield Earth...costs less and I don't have it around stinking up the place!
I think rebates are a scam anyhow so it doesn't surprise me that this happened. But the CEO blaming a "bad employee"..yeah, sure...
Hmmm, just like a drug dealer cutting his prices to match competition.
Good, it will make America a computer backwater and the world won't even notice.
Serves us right for buying into MS's crap IMHO
Just sums up the old sig I used to have
"The best government money can buy!"
And where did you get the idea that government was supposed to be for us?
At one time that may have been true, but nowadays...all that matters is who has made the most 'contributions' for re-election..
I don't want either...I am happy with the DVD's I have now and until they stop making those and the players for them, I am not 'upgrading'
Just another step to the US becoming a IT backwater with Microsoft calling the shots.
When the 'cyberwar' comes, it will be interesting to see how fast the IT infrastructure goes down due to all of the Microsoft products in it.
Glad to see American "values" have gotten to Canada...
That's an awesome post...completely shows the MPAA's thoughts about us.
Yep, that's exactly what will happen since Intel will need to "recoup their losses"
Based on what you just posted, I suppose that means you want AMD to fall by the wayside and Intel to be the only game in town? Hope you enjoy paying higher prices for your CPU's after that..
Yes this will lead to an Intel monopoly again, with high chip prices and little innovation..
But I guess a majority of the posters don't care..

Same with me...don't really care about the formats right now since I don't have any of the equipment to actually use them.
