Why rotate. Nuclear powered spacecraft could simply keep accelerating at 1G until it was time to turn around and decelerate at 1G. Problem solves, and they would get there a lot quicker too.
Robots and rovers are becoming so good that I think we should take all that manned mission to Mars money and re-purpose it to exploring Mars, and Titan, and Jupiter's moons with machines.
The only viable manned missions that I can see right now would be "one way tickets", and the politicians are too squeamish for those.
So, rovers and flying drones, or boats for Titan are the best way to go at the moment.
Firearms laws all have the same basic goal. Oppress the poor.
Printing guns, though illegal in some places is the ultimate expression of freedom. And makes totalitarian bosses all red, and spitting with anger that they can't control it.
When it is widespread, it will also serve to make people more polite to each other.
Switched reluctance motors have far more starting torque than MP induction or wound rotor sync motors, have more torque to weight than any electric motor including rare earth dc brushless and because of the enormas starting torque as well as high rpm can be direct drive with no mechanical transmission needed. They also can be used as regenerative generators.
Also, those Toshiba SCiB batteries can charge for 10% to 90% in less than 10 minutes.
Yes. Because Toyota has tons of patents on permanent magnet AC motors they use in Prius's, but none on the far more efficient Switched Reluctance type.
This is more about patents than technology. Patents slowing innovation.
I think the Lumia 920 and Windows 8 finally shows what Microsoft had in mind when they underhandedly planted Elop as Nokia's CEO. You can't just destroy a company obviously and not have stockholder suits. SO, if a devious and nefarious evil company such as Microsoft wanted to destroy Nokia's stock price and then buy it's patent portfolio cheap to be used to bully Apple, RIM, and Android makers into paying Microsoft royalties ( which I believe is M$'s actual goal ) You have to pretend you are making an effort to compete. At least falsely. So, you destroy all of the work Nokia has done, fire anyone creative or innovative, tie Nokia up with contracts so there is no escape, then come out with a complete piece of shit like the Lumia 920. Nokia stock drops below it's cash reserves, and Microsoft can claim, we really tried. We don't know why it failed. This useless cell phone is the poison pill in a pretty yellow package to kill off Nokia.
I mean really. People get Windows on their PC's because the have no choice. In the tablet market they do. Why would anyone choose to be under Microsoft's oppressive thumb if they didn't have to be?
How would space surgery be funded? Not socialist government medicine I hope? Without obscene profits to some rights holders, it shouldn't be allowed.

Careful! You could put your eye out with that thing. ( Quote from Daisy BB gun fame )
A Youtube clip that explains you corporate relationship with Microsoft:

Have a nice day.

Personally, even asking is a direct insult. It shows they don't value me. I would simply tell them, "go fuck yourself" and walk out, never to return.
Problem solved.
I see Thoat tracks.
The targets may posses child pr0n.

Where are mod points when I need them?
Yes. Because Toyota has tons of patents on permanent magnet AC motors they use in Prius's, but none on the far more efficient Switched Reluctance type.

Like: http://www.toshiba.com/ind/product_display.jsp?id1=821 and direct drive Switched Reluctance motors.
But, since they insist on Neanderthal ways of thinking, extinction is the result.
The new Focus will only run on BP gas!
You can in Indiana! Really.
This movie almost makes me feel sorry for those that think this one rocket is a waste of money, while 10,000 with nuclear bombs on top aren't. Almost.
Michael Dell can suck harder and deeper on Balmer's cock. It's worked in the past.
Just switch to Linux. Do you really need them telling you what you have to do?
21mhz is a Microsoft shill. Just sayin.

After reading the posts here, I declare Slashdot is now Reddit.
What is the point of the Constitution then? Really?
Actually, I just got a Nexus 7 tablet. M$ is done for. Apple should be scared.
I wish I had Mod points for this one.
