    The problem is not X but XFree86, X just draws stuff, it X didn't draw it something else would, and most of the interface problems are being worked on. If you need something faster buy a comercial X server. Also Eazeal is just beta software, they were smart about developing it in that they payed little atention to speed until it was almost done and now they can optimize it. Thats the way you should design software.

    Article today "Mandrake 8.0 beta is out", it's just a slow day. They announce the beta KDEs as well.

    Blizard dosen't OWN the word diablo, they own the copyright to the movie title diablo, and the game title diablo. This is why I can't make a game called diablo that is a buggy game of tic-tac-toe, put some cool deamons on the box, and sell it no refunds for $60. Don't start saying that they want to copyright the devil and stuff, your just showing that you went "Oh fuck a new article, quick post then read", and that your a dumass.

    There is a Windows 2000 alpha but good luck finding software, and I wouldn't realy trust it.

    There are more OS's that Win32, UNIX/UNIXclones, and MacOS. There will also be many more in the future as well. Cross platform is a big deal(especialy Win32 support).

    2.0.1 fixed that somewhat, but KDE is not well threaded compared to Be.

    Use PocketPC, the only thing MS makes good is IDE. Of course thats because they have to make up for horrible APIs.

    Mozilla is not yet at a 1.x release, thats why it sucks. Theres been a code freeze for quite a while. There just doing optimization and bug fixes now.

    I think SGI had a 3D file manager. I believe it was on one of the jurassic park movies. When the little girl turned some doors of or something, that was a 3D file manager she was using. I could be wrong though. And if you think X sucks look at D11 again from SGI.

    I'm only 17, and Hannibal was the only movie that I've been carded for, I've seen plenty of R movies at like 14 and no one ever seemed to mind. They seemed to make a point to card young people for Hannibal though, because the person that sold me the ticket was like 16, which means that you wouldn't expect them to ask you for ID. But I was with someone else that was older so I got in.

    I though it was boring though. I didn't realy like silence of the lambs either, it was boring as well.

    Then you go to ftp.kde.org, download the packages, then type rpm -ivh *.rpm.

    Can't you just type rpm -ivh *.rpm. And I've never used debain, but I hear that it's even esier using debian(though I can't see how, its on line). It seems kind of a waste to write some big app that replaces one line on the command line.

    C++ is the only real OO choice on linux or BSD to write someting like a desktop.
