Totally agree. Former verizon and att customer. Not regrets, never want to go back. We have a large family with mostly teenagers and college students. I fucking love tmoble's services. Their coverage is spectacular, plenty of bandwidth, superb call clarity, lowest prices I have ever seen. 13 devices, all unlimited, including tablets for less than 200 a month. I dread the future where things change, but for now its perfect.
Unless you are talking about your netgear or dlink box getting back doored, I think you are looking in the wrong places.
Any NAT device is sufficient. Patch all your stuff Don't download crap Don't execute the crap you download Don't play web games Don't use internet explorer uninstall flash uninstall java
If you are really looking for a good firewall, go grab a little pfsense box from netgate. But I think you have many other places to look at first.
They already are compatible. Have been for decades. I save a text file on linux, open on my pc, I can read it. Linux machine can browse the same websites, edit the same files, leverage the same protocols... So what exactly are you asking for? Run a single app binary on linux mac/windows? Java.
Every single time an android user tells me how great their phone is, I realize that they just didn't understand that ALL phones do that, that there are easier ways, that there's no need to pay through the nose to do those things, or that they didn't realize certain things were even possible because "android doesn't have that". I have personally never found a selling point for an android device over their competitors, certainly not one that justifies the price difference. But people are happy to live in ignorance because they don't actually buy the device to do those things, they buy the device to go on YouTube occasionally or order their shopping or stick the kids on a game. And there, pretty much, you don't require any particular specialities and everything else is just a "toy" to play with. Android is a designer brand sold on the fact that "I've heard android are better". I've yet to find that to be true. However, most people spend a lot of money on an android device, use it for everything they were ever going to anyway (i.e. not very much) and are happy that it does that. Fair play to them. But in terms of VALUE for money, I can't even begin to justify that over any other devices.
God help you. I'm been through this, and it's ugly. My daughter destroyed her machine in minutes, multiple times. By the 5th wipe/reinstall she started to learn to avoid the crudites. (she started on linux, moved to mac, then Windows... for games of course)
1) no admin rights, and make sure no one ever runs as admin 2) firewall shit up 3) turn on windows defender, and grab a copy of webroot 4) remove IE, install chrome 5) get steam, only let games install from there
Every single one of our surface systems have issues. Most of the problems orbit around really crappy drivers from microsoft related to power management and switching between tablet/laptop modes. The remaining seem to be caused by crappy patches for windows 10 that need to go through more debugging before release. Surfaces are not reliable, and most of our users are looking to get rid of the ones we have deployed.
The one good area is hardware reliability. The hardware itself seems to be rock solid. It's their legendary programmers that are letting the team down. For the price, it's quite disappointing.
You are missing the point. To continue using Kaspersky REQUIRES I put my name on the line to certify it. This is not required of other solutions as they are not suspect or staffed with ex KGB agents. Before this bullshit I considered that a plus as it demonstrated skills needed.
This time is no different. There is tons of smoke, and a despot with his hand near the wheel. Regardless of whether or not there is currently corruption, there is nothing stopping it from happening undetected in the future. We have been debating this situation here, at the executive level for over a year. I have been steadfastly against making a change (We use Kaspersky), but at a certain point it comes down to putting your name on the line certifying Kaspersky as safe. Are you comfortable with that? I'm not. So I had to give in. I'm not going to put my job on the line for a commodity security software.
The point of cutting the cord it to get rid of it. This isn't switching to directv, or netflix.
The point of cutting the cord is to no longer be bound to buying things you are not watching or did not want in the first place.
99% of what you want can be streamed from network sites online for free 100% legally. I'm not talking about piracy. This is straight from the main feeds. I have been doing this for a good 15 years now. Seven years ago it was only possible to steam a couple stations. Now all the networks do it. Fuck netflix. Don't even bother. what a waste. like shopping at dollar tree,
Layer that in with a ppv/subscription off itunes and you are good to go. Add in Prime which you probably already have but don't use, and you are golden.
Trade off for you(not for me) little no no live tv(do not want) no sports(Do not want). The best part is when ever march madness comes around, you don't even notice!!! You could always get an antenna... but that would be a step backwards for me. I want to watch WHEN not what WHAT.
Not only can they... They currently do. You would not believe how much it costs me to work around this, and how little I get in return. It would shock you even more to see how valuable it is.
Not everyone gets to win marathons. Not everyone is entitled to. If you can't cut it, then you can't cut it. Deal with it.
You negotiate your own life.
You make your own life decisions and accept repercussions.
You decide what is ok and what is not for YOU. No one else.
Some people are just built and/or wired differently. They never get tired. They never burn out. They never stop. Sometimes this leads to great success. Sometimes they are lashed to a machine and die poor making others rich. Your choices make the difference. Don't blame sexism. Don't blame society. Don't blame culture. Your failings and successes are your own.
The nexus 6 is a total slouch. Modern phones such as the iphone 7 and the S8 are completely on par with midrange desktop systems. https://browser.primatelabs.co... The A10 fusion is only slightly slower than an i7 6600U. This a completely reasonable solution. The S8 is even faster. It's a crazy new world we are in. At this rate... In the near future our phones will faster than our desktops lol
In fact the meter is a far more accurate measure than the thermostat ever could be. It only controls one appliance in a household, and you have no idea what kind of appliance they are actually hooked up to. It could be super efficient, or an old clunker... gas or electric...geothermal? There has to be more to this.
I feel that pressing the brake pedal should stop the car, no matter what other pedals or switches are engaged. To me, the brake pedal is the god pedal. It rules all others.
All cars should cut gas as soon as the brakes are engaged. Imagine the effect that would have had on Toyota a few years back. Double-pedal is a failure, and should be interpreted as such. Gas should not override/overcome the brakes. What if there was a mechanical failure in the gas pedal that led to a Full on position? Not to mention the energy wasted during such a maneuver.
Google offers a free fiber internet connection with monthly cost guaranteed for 7 years. There is a 300 dollar install fee to cover the cost of the modem, but thats it. Seems pretty damn reasonable.
It's very likely the airlines or the companies that provide the current phone technology heavily lobbied for this. It would be interesting to track the money pushing this.
Without question. Every time you can.

This tech has been around for decades. Its currently in use.
Here is a demo from decades ago:
https://youtu.be/4eZVF1ouTT4?t...
Ultrasonic beat waves/interference is what this looked like from the beginning. Reverse engineering isn't necessary to discover this.

That must be why the "like" them so much. Users "hate" them. Damn. Even their solution sounds like click bait.
Come back when you can actually demonstrate this as an attack.

This whole thing is just silly.

How serious are you? Should I call the cops? Because this is not ok. Rethink before you type.
Isn't this the exact opposite thing we should do?

No need to re-engineer. Just need a simple rule.

Why hasn't this happened?
