There is no English language option on the web site... I do not think they intend this for the US market in any way so US law is of no interest to them.
Sorry Dorothy but this ain't Kansas. IANACL (I am not a Chinese Lawyer) but I doubt that the broken US concept of copyright will go far in another country, especially one like China. Plagiarism is seen as a compliment there so M$ would get laughed at if they complained about it. To say that someone is copying your product is one thing but to say that someone has made their product look like your product is another.
Sorry but this is/. and a comment is flamebait if the reader with modpoints disagrees with it or if it criticises the US. Nothing to do with starting flame wars.
This guy wasn't carrying anything that could blow up a plane, just set light to his trousers. It is not about reality, it is about hype. Banning taking water on a plane did not make flying any safer but it did mean that the politicians could say that they were doing something about the problem. If you really want to get a bomb onto a plane you can still put a good bomb in your luggage but you cannot take a drink of water on board with you...
This guy was a nutball. Yes they are dangerous but we cannot avoid them and whatever the dumb politicians do it will not do anything except make our lives more difficult.
Great basis for a sweeping change to the banking system. As someone who would not dream of using a cheque at a supermarket I can understand your opinion but fail to see how it justifies the demise of the whole cheque system. When I want to send some money to someone by post there is no better system than a cheque. For some things I will set up direct debit, for some things I will use cash, for some things I use a credit card and for some things I NEED a cheque book. This is all the same 'we need one tool to fit all situations' stupidity again. Cheques are great. I do not want and electronic system that uses a mobile phone, I want a piece of paper that also acts as a receipt. I cannot stick my mobile phone in an envelope and send it to someone. If I have a one off payment to someone a cheque is much better than some electronic system.
We are at cross purposes as I meant using different different tlds..su is popular with the real rebels now and they allow cyrillic. ICANN have been trying to close.su for a long time but if it comes to a fight they know that it will just strengthen the alternatives.
I am sure that you believe this but do you really think that those of in the rest of the world would really put up with that? If the US closed a European, Russian or Chinese site for something that is illegal in the US but not in Europe, Russia or China you would break the internet. It is stupid. We have lots of sites that openly provide films, music etc. to those that can read russian without a care for your laws. The Mafiaa would love to stop this but it is outside your control.
??? We do have other DNS servers out here and your government can only try to stop you guys in the US from using them. If a site is removed from your DNS it will still remain on ours and if you change your settings to use our DNS servers you will still be able to access whatever you want.
Although I generally accept your points I do feel that without other categories she can only be male or female. Unless another category is introduced she must be one of those. I can accept the rare examples that make selection difficult but really it seems that she is just a really ugly girl and is being treated unfairly. If it turns out that she has cheated, i.e. born a boy and had an operation then the fuss is justified but otherwise it is just extremely insensitive.
Sport is the domain of genetically abnormal people. A good runner is likely to have longer legs than normal etc.. I do not bitch about being unfairly treated because my short fat fingers make me a crap pianist and try and say that the average good pianist with long thin finger is a cheat. O.K., so this girl might be a bit more different but unless it is her fault then I do not see the arguement.
Your link refers to a Press Complaints Commission and does not suggest or imply any right regarding any other photographs. If a person in the UK is in a public place they can take a photograph of whatever they like and put it on Facebook. A newspaper cannot print anything that can damage a persons reputation. Different things altogether.
And does this country you live in forbid you taking out private health insurance or is it really a matter of you have more choice than an American? Do you think that health insurance always works the way it is supposed to?
By your use of the term "national health" it sounds like the UK and I have listened to a lot of the debate in the US where they have made it sound like people in the UK are forced to use the National Health Service when this is not the case. There are many private health options and so it really is better than the US.
http://www.bupa.co.uk/ is just one of the options for the British, there is also the NHS....
It is annoying because most of it is theatre. I do agree that security has improved a bit but I not see why you had to take your laptop out and put it in a different tray to be x-rayed, are they saying that the x-ray machine cannot see through the laptop case? Why is it that I can put a bottle full of liquid in my hold luggage but I cannot carry a drink of water onto the plane? No one has successfully blown up a plane with a drink of water but there have been plenty of bombs in the hold. Even when you talk about the problems your wife has, you are talking about metal scanners (gun scanners), when was the last time you were scanned for explosives? It is mainly theatre and that is annoying.
Do you honestly believe that you can use US law to get back at someone in another country? US laws apply in the US... some other governments are still bent over ready to take it from GW but most countries will tell you where to go.
This should go to Europe as it is clearly unconstitutional. This clearly contravenes the individuals basic human right to a presumption of innocence. I doubt that this will last long as even if these guys do not take to the European court someone will later, but it will cause a lot of Blighty bashing here on/. in the mean time.
The right to silence remains. You do not have to answer any questions. The only thing that changed is that they can now say that you did not answer the questions. Prior to the change in the law the police were not allowed to say that you had not answered their questions and that meant that they could not say that they had asked because it is hard to say that something was asked without saying that there was not an answer. This was obviously a stupid situation and was rectified. If you chose not to answer the police can now tell the court that they asked you and you refused to answer, and that can harm your defence (as you are warned).
I have had to restore from a Time Machine backup and I will never use it again. It was so much work because it does not backed up most of the system and needed the original install disk to get that data from as well as all the online-updates. It lost Aperture which needed to be re-installed separately. I had changed a lot of the way that my MBP looks because I like the Unix side of OSX and TM lost all that but confused a lot of the links so that I had to find out how to put right a lot of things. It took days.
I am a MBP fan boy but I will never use TM again. I like my MBP because it has a pretty front end and lets me get to the real nix stuff when I want but TM - NEVER AGAIN.

ESP stands for Extra Sensorial Experience,
That would be ESE...
I love the way they think that everyone else wants to "enjoy" the pain that is inflicted on US citizens...

You went out with that bitch as well ? Be grateful that the slit is on the back or you would have had the meat rubbing your rear while you were at it.

"8. Hoarding of money"
The price of gold per ounce has gone right up from $700 to $950 (approx) because people are hoarding money instead of investing in the stock market.

"what then?"
Move to Micronesia where even the real debtor is being left alone.

There is not a death sentence in the UK...
So a gay porn screen saver with a short delay would be great... The wanna be macho guys would leave it alone and the girls would "trust" you :-D
and the War on Wall Street...
He was obviously a financial terrorist out to destroy our economy (or was that Bush).
