There is one major fault in the article.

The FRA will only spy on traffic going across Sweden's borders.

I can't think of something more unprofessional than using given names for computers.

    I don't believe what I'm reading....

Slashdot people prefer MSN? Albeit with a alternate client??

Anyways, I've been using ICQ for several years and so does my friends. (The older ones anyways)

I use ICQ Pro 2003b client with patch to remove the ads.

    Works great.

Had to upgrade to 2003 from 2000 (I think) when ICQ shut out older clients.

And yes, I probably should use Miranda or something. But still in ICQ network.

ICQ is for the Elder Geek
MSN is for young wannabees :) /C

  6. Use Copy first! on Data Loss Bug In OS X 10.5 Leopard · · Score: 1

    First: This bug is inexcuseable......

But still.... if anyone is MOVING data then they should now that this can happen...

If you want to move a directory tree you ALWAYS _COPY_ the tree to the destination point.
AFTER it's finished you can check the directory size and number of files to ensure that everything
is copied. THEN you delete the original.
This is also faster then to move individuel files.

I've had Windows truncating MP3-files with coping aswell.... guess nothing is perfect...:)

Speaking of perfect, a big apologize for my bad english. I'm in a hurry and I feel this post isn't one of my
    better ones regarding language...

EU consits of a lot of (old) countries with very different social system. Good or not, they are all better than the US. Only in USA you can get denied healthcare because of money (Hey, is this why the presidentcandidate wins with the most money?)

Like stated above, the only reason EU needs is the one where US cannot be trusted.

  8. Why go IDE??? on Mirroring Controllers - What have been Your Experiences? · · Score: 1

If you want to use RAID 1 you want the sequrity if one drive goes to bed... in other words, your data is important.

Only one solution, you go and buy a REAL server from a branded company (HP, IBM, etc) with SCSI disks and a real hardware RAID-controller! Sure, cost more but you get what you pay for....

If you still go IDE you still should buy the whole server from a branded company.

Again, if you want sequrity for your data, money is of secondary concern or else your data isn't that important....

Like another post a live in Sweden where everybody have a unique ID given to them at birth. But I guess if you don't want the goverment to know how you are then you got something to hide. Or? If you don't trust your goverment then elect a new one. You all live in democraties right?

A home with kids in them????
Have you all lost your head?

Then republicans go out and say that the massacre could have been avoided if the school staff carried guns!!
In other words, the school in america are so bad that the staff must carry guns to protect both themself and the children.

Why are americans so obessed with guns??
And why should they have advanced military guns?

Plz ignore spelling errors, I'm not english nor american.
