In a recient conversation with a Microsoft employee he mentioned something about the "NT 7 team" doing some really cool things... I'm not too sure about the 'cool things' part but he did say NT 7.. anyone else know anything about NT 7 ?
We are a cash strapped beowulf group doing legit research (we actually made a little bit of knot (ap math) history) Everyone seems to like us and support what we are doing but no one is putting their money where their mouths are BALDRIC. We are doing this in the true spirit of beowulf.. Taking old surplus hardware from all around a university and putting it to good use.. All of the research findings must be public inorder for anyone to use it, we have a very open source attitude to the cluster.. We currently have 8 nodes up and running with 7 more waiting to get 'on the action'. But our problem is that we have *no* funding. The biggest support we've gotten is a tiny room (I'm talking 15' x 15' at the most) from our Computer Science department.
My question is: How can we get this kind of support??
Actually we were discussing an upcoming project to build a student run Beowulf. (Anyone want to give us hardware.. we need networking stuff) @ the University of Western Ontario along with other Linux User Group issues it doesn't get any more academic (or geeky mind you) than that. But I do see your point.. most people do use those things with their fingers up their noses.
I'm in Ottawa.. someone else was in Toronto and Three more in London.. Location prevented us from meeting in person.:)
Everything got straitened out:).. but it does seem that the AUP is VERY out of date and should be updated (and to include CPU charges as well as explicitly what servers and deamons are acceptable eg. irc vs icq etc..).. but this really isn't the best forum to go into details about things.
But I could never figure out the blank key on the sun keyboards ?? ^@ is what it produces..umm.. is that the ANY KEY ?? These extended keys on the Sun keyboards make my live much easier for sure!
If there is a high demand for shares the IPO price will inflate prematurly with correspondance to the high demand.. then will dive by the end.. up short down in a day || at most two-> time to buy

I'm getting the same problem with voodoo3 .. I've even tried changing my default x session to be 640x480 16bbp and is still blows chunks with a sig4..
... shouldn't the new one work with my setup ... (yes I've got all of the uptodate drivers from 3dfx) .. umm this sucks
I'm guessing by the message that it has to do with q3 being unable to grab "fullscreen" mode ?? (yes I tried +set dga_mode 0 (or whatever it is)...

My bad! Who'd of thought that there were >1 Robot competition? :) I suck, overrated yes, troll no.
