    huh ?

    90kbps is about 150% of the standard data rate used to carry telephone calls ... many businesses get their calls over T1 lines which are split into 24 x 64k channels.

    Again ... A DMCA takedown notice requires a sworn certification from the injured party ... it cannot be legal to automatically generate such a certification.

    Analysis of the Paris air show incident suggests that the TU-144 crashed as a result of trying to avoid a french fighter jet which appeared to be on a collision course with it. However it was enough to discredit the design at the time.

    Even the NRA isn't convinced that the 2nd ammendment protects individual rights, that's why they've never brought a lawsuit based on it to avoid a court ruling against the individual.

    What about the 25% cut in new releases that seems to have been deliberately made by all RIAA members at the same time ... is this not suggestive of a deal to restrict the supply of new music to the market place.

    There was an article on CNN, a few months back in the wake of the Pete Townsend arrest, which cited an unnamed FBI source as saying that 99% of all child porn being offered (online or otherwise) is being offered by law enforcement to catch people who seek it out. Will these sites be blocked by PA too ?

    It's not unheard of for a case to be dismissed on grounds of selective enforcement. The constitution is supposed to guarantee "equal protection under the law".

    It is possible to vote if you have a license and are a non-citizen but it is still a federal felony to do so.

    Believe it or not you can pick up tax returns for free and the post office, print them out by hand and file them in the mail. The only thing turbotax can do that you can't do with the paper form is e-file a return.

    no worse than the activation .... all that does is stop you printing or efiling a return.

    It's easy - just allow one return to be filed per cd-key .... or follow the same model as turbo-tax online only charge a fee for filing a return.

    hmmm .... Voting as a non-citizen is a felony and will prevent you from ever holding legal status in the US. Probably not the best course of action.

    Actually the secretary of state can declare what the hell she likes, the electors appointed by her actually cast the votes in the electoral college and can (and have in the past) decide to vote for the other candidate.

    I guess you'd call shepard's flight a sub-orbital space flight. Still space just not orbiting the earth.
