The problem i have with this is the record companys own the copyrights.. not the artist.. this is part of the problem with the RIAA they represnt the record companys which forces artists to sign contacts giving up their copy rights to the music they produce.. how many bands actually own thier copy rights.. very few.. if the copy rights were held by the artist they could licese it to many different record producers. and then you would see the cream rise to the top. but if up don't sign the contract they don't let you play.. so the courts should look into thease practices as well. I for one would happily sent artist X $10 to download thier current music. and you would see alot of the piracy go away...
it's called water and cornstarch..take 1 handfull of cornstarh add abit of water and nead it till it feels like dough..then stop moving it..it turns into a runny goo..pretty cool
i live in a place that where part of the year we need to put up boards or shutters for hurricanes.. if all the windows were concrete like the rest of the structure it sure would save alot on things like insurance(i.e. no windows to break for the 150 mph+ winds) and would be awful cool to accually see outside during a storm..since i've been through 6 in the past 5 years spending 20+ hrs in a very dark room is not the funnest thing i've ever done..but hey i can go to the beach any day of the year....
here's a link that may explain what the cupie doll is in this game.http://www.theregister.co.uk/content/7/23573. html If i were in on the lawsuits I wouldn't settle for anything less than half. That's right they have a cash reserve of $36 Billion, and it's growing by $1.5 billion per day..
I agree that the gamming quality on lcd still leaves something to be desired, but i'm pretty sure i read here on/. awhile back an article on speeding up or redesigning the controllers for LCDs to make the as fast as a standard CRT monitor. As for useing this technolgy for TV sure.. we all wish we could afford a plasma screen but we can't, if this makes big screen TVs cheaper and thinner, they do have a good point, but as for the monitor arena.. i still think LCD will take the market in the next year or so.
CRT monitors no matter how small are still big, clunky, and waist energy. They also contain lead, which is banned from landfills. LCD and TFT monitors will take over the market simply because they are better for the sellers as for the buyers, Smaller size cheaper to store, cheaper to ship. IMHO this company has a few merits but is beating a dead horse.
If you find yourself broken down and out of cell range you are going to be one sad puppy..i bet you look at rookie computer users with distain..same rules apply if you don't know how it works..you shouldn't be allowed to use it.. as a tech and a teacher i pride myself in knowing all about everything in the world around me. i fix anything and everything if i have the time if not i'll pay someone to do it..but never because i don't understand it or refuse to...
these guys are either really busting thier asses to get back on-line or are blissfully clueless as to the problem. They're noexistant as far as a domain goes. looks like it wasn't a very merry X-Mas for them...
As a comuter tech in the retail end of the spectrum. I use norton ghost to copy customers drive's on a daily basis, for such reasons as possable hardware failure, or just they need more space. Is this a violation of licence agreements?
As a footnote if i copy say a Gateway harddive which does contain a copy of all the intallation files, as does many other "brand" name computers. Does copying your.cab files to your harddrive violate those agreements as well? does it have to be a CD-rom copy?
