The hardware is already there, what's the point of NOT using it? If I have a gtx285 or something ridicilous and it's sitting there not being used that is WASTED. It's Win/Win for everyone.
One of the reasons I didn't like math was because I always felt I was behind. Most math teachers don't "teach". They have you a couple of examples and expect you to figure it out yourself. Problem is most people learn barely enough to get to the next grade, by grade 12 you suddenly realize how much of the fundamentals were missed and you're stuck playing catchup.
A lot of math is taught too early and at a hurried pace
Google recently released Nexus one that supports Rogers 3G networks, and it is available for Canadians to buy, there is also a version for Wind. Bell/Telus can't run the Nexus one yet though.
I tried this on the xbox and hated it. First you have to download about 4gigs which takes time, that's 4 gigs coming off your own internet connection if you happen to have a monthly limit. For xbox once you start watching the movie you need to finish it in like 2 days or it auto-deletes. That's right you can just watch part of it, go do something else and be like "oh I have to finish that movie I paid $$$$" for only to find out it's disappeared.
The deal breaker is the price. at 17.99$ might as well just buy the dvd/blueray and own it.
corporate ie6 users don't let their browse the rabid filled web from their internal network. Somehow people think the only way to use a browser is if it's directly accessing external websites.
My 2005 G6 used to shake a lot at high speeds. Took it to the dealer 4 times, they would always "do something" but the problem never went away, after the 4th i came to the obvious conclusion they had no bloody idea what they were doing, either sucking my money or just plain clueless. So I took it to a tireshop, one test drive and they informed me one of the back tires was worn and imbalanced. In just 2 hours they fixed what took the dealer a month to figure out.
The auto industry needs to emerge from the smoke & mirrors age and start taking shit like this seriously. It's just mind boggling how a problem like unintended acceleration and exist for so long with no root cause found.
Last week my win7 bluescreened 3 times with weird hardware errors while playing WoW. I knew something was off but never figured it would be crappy nvidia cards. I've always been a fan and always bought their cards but yea wtf is up with that. Maybe time to try some ATI
Why not just have some key combination to cut the power? I work with a lot of hardware that include some kind of reset or kill switch button, just put ctrl-alt-delete under the dash board to allow the passenger to kill the engine in situations like these. Or stop using software to regulare the stupid gas pedal.
I lost 25 pounds this year, and it mostly came from a diet change. Excersizing is great, and can speed things up but the biggest factor to losing weight and keeping it off was just eating less. Cut out the crap like snacks and pop soda, try to "feel hungry" more often it won't kill you. Excersize makes you look great and develop some muscule but that alone won't take off the weight until you change your diet.
that would mean and all of my xbox360 buddies must be in the other percentile... say for silent majority? I can pull %s out of my ass too but it won't be pretty.
I drove to Ottawa to Toronto for the first time. On googlemaps the route was quite simple, get on the 401 drive to toronto easy right? Punched in the address in my satnav and it decided to take a weird route along highway 7, some back country road 7th line it was called then back to highway 7 the trip was a nightmare. When I reached my destination I checked the options and it was set to "shortest distance", which for some weird reason is not the same as "fastest route" (omg highway 401).
I must admit tho that the scenic route to Toronto was far more enjoyable than the highway trip back home, one must truely appreciate truck drivers.
I love the meetings that result in this kind of dumb naming. Someone goes through the trouble of creating really nice presentations, hyping up how he has this new ideas and then forces us to attend at 9am Monday morning. 30mins later the uncreative bastards forced to sit through it all agree how awesome it is but somewhere in their dull brains are going "he is serious with this crap?". It eventually gets marketed to world and nobody buys it, sigh.
what he said. Wow's biggest problem is the static nature of the world, players don't change what happens in wow lore we're just there after the fact. The next big mmo will have everything wow does not have probably simple things that are technologically impossible for wow to do at this time like a fully dynamic world.
Conan and Warhammer do things differently but it's the same grinding and static crap you see in wow. Same shit different color
seriously enough with the tampon stories.
Isn't that like saying I lost 100 billion in lottery winnings? How can you lose money you were not going to get in the first place?

because somehow it's only happening with Toyotas? Last I checked older people drove other cars too

for nerds?
why would I care which browser is the most popular?

Yes they can http://www.cbc.ca/technology/story/2010/03/16/google-nexus-canada.html
"A spokesperson for Telus confirmed the Nexus One would work at full 3G speeds on the company's — and Bell's — network without any problems.
The AT&T and Rogers version uses the 850 and 1900 megahertz frequencies, which are in the same bands used by Bell and Telus's new network.
"If you have a Nexus One, bring it to us and we'll give you a SIM card for $9.99 and off you go," said a manager at a Toronto Telus store.

how do companies have so many computers that can be remotely controlled?

I live near alcatel, and about 90% of their workers are Indians or Chinese. China is digging their heels into large techie companies in the west.
I'm sure the developers have one, or maybe something that can be done ondemand. No point having one for the public imo

...if they chose a platform that is more reliable than an Xbox 360.
That's right bitches, 54.2% failure rate.
that would mean and all of my xbox360 buddies must be in the other percentile... say for silent majority? I can pull %s out of my ass too but it won't be pretty.
& the best part is you get to pay for the boxes lol
Can someone tell me why we are using miles per gallon to measure electricity?
If I understand correctly, you buy a game and then they force ads on you? My PS3 is still in the box until gow3 comes out
what the hell is a DD-WRT? Can someone find a list of actual routers that are affected by this instead of speaking in geek terms?
