Please don't lump me into your cult of North American Arrogance which you so clearly displayed.

"Voilà une arrogance toute nord-américaine. "

I'm not at all like you who hold yourself somehow above that which you disdain, and consequently misinterpret as arrogance. It is quite obvious that it is you sir who is the arrogant one. I am simply a citizen of the finest nation in existence today. This of course irks you, because your life pales in comparison, so that you must find ways to justify an obviously inferior existence. I pity you and all other haters like you

The USA has an historical debt of gratitude to the french, I understand that. But what are we supposed to think when your nation harbors a convicted murderer(ira einhorn) and then forces our officials to jump through hoops in order to get him Jail where he belongs. Being enlightened doesn't mean that you defend scum, that's called burying your head in the sand. Don't bury your head on the issue of terrorism, or the terrorists will surely separate it from your body.

    First:
I applaud you for your valiant attempt to rise above your "second world" native language. More French should be so motivated, your country could then rise to first world status.

    Second:
We, in the USA don't endorse the killing of those who don't agree with us. We do however endorse the killing of those who would harm us simply out of a hatrid for our way of life. Let's face it, there will always be snivelling losers who hate winners. Most of them however don't try to kill the winners. France is a nation of well behaved losers, since they as a nation have a childish dislike of the WINNERS in the USA, however they don't try to kill nor do they for the most part advocate the killing of Americans. Those who do try to kill us should always receive their dividends in abundance. The USA is a tolerant nation, Almost tolerant to a fault. It's OK to disagree with us. It's OK for our citizens to disagree with the government. I have been to France on four different occasions and have always been glad that I had a free and tolerant nation to return to and call home.

This "story arc" you refer to is nothing more than a substitute for good writing. It's a cheap way to keep viewers, and in my opinion many series suffer as a result. These are the kinds of programs that will be forgotten in ten years. Only the ones with star trek in the title will be remembered because they have an endless supply of dimwitted fans who will watch them no matter how poorly written they are. There are seldom any individual episodes with decent storytelling because they are only giving you enough of some drawn out story line to sucker you into watching the next episode.

Sorry, but I don't have enough time in my life to worry about digesting an entire season of some lame ass series just so I don't miss some "key" portion of an unnecessarily drawn out continuing story. This whole trend is almost as bad as sitcoms with their "serious" episodes, i.e.:'This week in a very special Home Improvement Tim deals with infidelity with a Tooltime groupie because his wife became a fat cow from having a bunch of kids", for chrissakes lighten up... it's only a sitcom.

But a defense that might stop a missile that might be launched against us is not good enough. Try explaining to the public: 'well, we got four of the five missiles. Sorry about LA.' We still need to fund research and testing, but the system is nowhere close to being ready for deployment.

You really don't get it. That surprises me. On the surface you come off as intelligent. I sincerely hope you aren't in a position where you're opinions carry weight.

Once again you argue my point for me without understanding. Do you honestly believe that stopping all but one missile would be as bad as stopping no missiles? Every survivor would beg to differ with you. For godssake please get a grip. Again by your own standards we should not have airport security since somebody can still steal aircraft and crash them into buildings.

I just thank the fates that the success of the U.S. isn't hampered by defeatists like you who cry about what cannot be done. Someone like you would have told Oppenheimer to get lost because "Hey we can only make 2 bombs and what good will that do?" I think we can all accept your comments for defeatist dribble that they are.

But in the spirit of semantics I am correct. Incidentally no, Sesame Street did not teach me my prepositions, I learned that later in school. Also to my knowledge(which is fairly extensive on the topic) Sesame Street covers almost no grammar(this may have changed in the past ten years since my studies). While they do demonstrate simple sentence construction, they virtually ignore the various parts of speech.

Having actually studied the program for various papers that I have written, I'm fairly familiar with what the educational goals of the the program are. In addition I amare of it's original "mission" which was to decrease the educational gap between lower and middle class.

OK Poindexter, or should I call you Chaz the Spaz like in the old Steve Martin Science Fair sketch on SNL. Why spend it? Do you suggest we wait until they have the ability before we begin to develop this technology? It's pretty damn likely that some one will have this ability at sometime in the future. To bury our heads in the sand as you suggest will most certainly seal out collective fates. I really don't get why this is so difficult for you people to comprehend. By the way, your use of the word almost further proves my point. With every year that passes, the probability of a missile attack increases. It's not all about terrorists.
