I would assume that he was joking, and was more on topic than you think. He was asking if PCI64bit archtecture would be able to handle the bandwidth available with this new technology... Think before you flame.
Neither UUNet nor PSINet are owned by a single ISP, they merely rent out POP space to others. I'm personally more worried about the fact that USWest just offered me Cable TV thru my phone line, which is apparently just one interesting way to screw up my DSL even more. The possibilities melt my brain into my pants...
I've always been a big fan of l0pht and I think that it's an important step that a national publication like the NYT turns even the smallest bit of attention to their cause. Think about it, what was the last thing the general public heard about a computer-guru? Blah blah blah, child pornography, blah blah blah, Computer Guru, blah blab blah, 13 year old girl. The non-perversion base for this article makes it worthwhile.
And why is it that there are currently 15 articles and 13 have to do with the FREAKING REGISTRATION on the FREAKING NYT site? Register a name! save a cookie, oh god forbid.
Why are there polar bears in California? Penguins in Arizona? Why are there Senators in cold climates, you'd assume that they'd merely become sedentary and have to bask on rocks all day.
When I open it, Javascript dies, and when I do get it to open (IN IE 5) when I click on the guest book, I'm magically whisked to freebsd.org. I think somebuddy may have phuct it already.

PC-Tel modems are straight from the Devil. I work for an ISP. Trust me, these things suck monkey weiner.
This movie was quite original. It wasn't frightening, because we've been shocked so often with the supernaturally gruesome and horrible that we've forgoten how to be scared of normal things. It's the first movie in a LONG time that I have seen that I could relate to. - ZEN
So I open this web page, noticing this little warning that it's confusing, but never was I prepared for this, I open it up, I piss my pants, I run around for five minutes, and as my eyes roll back into my skull and I pass out, all I see is myself on a sandy beach with Cthulu knocking on my head screaming "Let me in, your strength won't hold forever". I woke up and I was in the bathroom, building a replica of a mountain out of soggy toilet paper.
Yeah, that Nasa/Odessa/Nato triumverate could use these devices to turn ordinary tourists who want to speak in the language native to the country they're in into Ninja killer drones. Very upsetting indeed.
Edward Penishands 2 was far far better than the first, the character had evolved from just a freak with dildos attached to his wrists into a true porn star...
I'm not sure if anyone else here lives in Thunderdome, but here we've had these big fresnel lenses to "enhance" (read:magnify) TV screens since the early 60's. They sucked. For a more appropriate demonstration, watch Brazil.
Yes, in order to save the wildlife, I've been fighting agains strategic oil drilling my entire life, I never drive anywhere, buy any petroleum based products, or buy from anyone who does support petroleum... Wait, you yutz, unless you can find that magical elixer for all the world's (around 75%) energy needs, don't freak about Linux being used to drill a hold in the ground. Besides, I'd rather see a beowulf cluster being used to draw up detailed maps of the ocean floor than being used to play quake at 1600x1200 at 32bit color. Don't get me wrong, I think that we need to figure out alternate means, but right now we're slaves to our addiction to things like electricity, mobility, and civilization, if it weren't for oil drilling, you wouldn't even be running that fancy pants computer on your desk. Just a little rant. Zealots piss me off.
Translation - SuSE's definition of Beta - If you try doing anything with this for an extended period of time, it will dump a huge core somewhere on your drive, have fun. You'll probably be able to play, but I'm not even sure that Q3Test has VIII support.
Active X is all f'ed up. If I could count the number of times that Active X has crashed my work machine, but the more important issue is that Intel created the serial numbering system, which was a bad idea to begin with, but they implemented it so poorly that it can be altered, defeated, and used against the end-user.
What's the deal here? Bright colors, lights? what has happened to Quake, I mean really. If it doesn't make you squint really hard to see anything, I don't think it's worth it's salt. =)
It looks pretty badass, just gotta upgrade upgrade upgrade to play it.....
I personally think that it is a Good Thing. You can now take off the intensive cpu load of decoding Mpegs. I don't know about all of you, but running 95/MacOS/98/Whatever and whatever flavor of Amp on a less than 150Mhz system causes computers (in my experience) to be sluggish. And even on moderate range computers, it can bog down your computer by eating up cycles.
20. Gore was an advocate of the "V-chip" to permit parents to block out programming they considered inappropriate for their children. It is widely regarded as a complete failure.
Okay, here's the deal, if you're gonna look at the v-chip as a huge reason for Gore's incapability, look at one thing. Star Wars, you remember, that interesting and money-sucking vampiric and far-fetched program started by those damned liberals, no wait, that's right, Reagan. Modern republicans Golden Boy of the 80's....
All you have to do is realize that Outlook sucks hardcore anyways, As for me, I'll stick with Eudora. This does raise an interesting point that MS will undoubtedly tout as a reason for it's ID's to be kept up. Never mind that it was it's shoddy software that allows this to happen, but hell. Spin control...
Maybe if Netscape didn't blow like the sweet Santa Ana when it comes to supporting new technologies.
Netscape : "What, me update?"

There are several Wireless transport stuffs for x86... I mean, it's an ITTU standard (802.11, I thinks)... Although the FCC don't much care for it.

Is enough cash to buy one of these things. That and an Empeg.

I suggest using a layer of political powers and a piece of fairy cake. Bake until golden brown.
