  1. The Mario games alone.... on Plotting the Revolution's Arc · · Score: 1

I am sure with just the Mario games alone this will be amazing, but when I start thinking about all of the other Nintendo owen games like Zelda, Metroid, Animal crossing, Pokemon, etc... makes my hands sweat and the adrenalin flow! imagine a driving game you stear with the joy stick and can glance left over your sholder with a flick of your wrist. Or a fighting game like Soul Caliber where the character's combo move involves various gestures drawn in the air with the controler.

This new controler offers a very intuitive interface to the uninitiated and vast amount of complexity for the hardcore.

Besides, with a name like "Nunchaku" how can you go wrong?

Am I going to buy one? HELL YEAH!

  2. Can't we all just get along??? on When Would You Accept DRM? · · Score: 1

I think there needs to be some give on both sides.

The content creators and producers want to be compensated for the work they do. We as consumers would like to get the most bang for our buck (or in some cases no buck). Therefore, the content creators and producers need to find a way to continue to generate revenue without driving the consumers away.

With that said if you as a consumer do not like what a creator or producer is doing, do not give them money. Give your money to those who respect your beliefs on what you should be able to do with the content you pay money for (or don't pay money for). Content creators who publish under the creative commons license are an excellent example and are deserving of our $upport. Yes I know, you are not going to find Metalica or Britney Spears there, but there are many good artists you will not hear on your local Clear Chanel station.

  3. Composer on Mozilla 1.7.5 Released · · Score: 1

The only piece of the suite you can not get by it self is composer, which I use regularly for editing my personal web site. I know its not the greatest HTML editor out there, but it does what I need it to do and I am familiar with how it works.

  4. I have my dream job on Dream Jobs of 2004 · · Score: 2, Interesting

I am the Systems Admin at, what our marketing dept. likes to call, a world class ski resort.

In fact right now, after finishing a quick lunch, I am lacing up my snowboard boots and will be spending some quality time on the snow... and I get paid for this!!

  5. Interns? on Upgrading Training and Certification? · · Score: 1

When I was starting out I had no experience, except hacking from home, and no training. I walked into the main office of a bank and asked to see the sys admin and told him I would come in x amount of hours a week to work for free if he would show me what he knew.

This worked out very well, after about two months I was offered a "real" job assisting him admin the bank's larg array of Novell servers and Cisco routers.

I am not saying this will work for everyone, but it did for me.

  6. Re:The myth of the failing mom & pop ISP on On Starting a Successful ISP? · · Score: 1

I know several people (my self included) who do not want or need broadband service at home and will not jump on the wagon until the price is in line with dial-up.
