Did you mean www.prosoundweb.com? Because I couldn't find any forums at prosoundworld, I tried going through the link Detect Network Settings, but no luck.
And you're absolutely right, if I didn't have to make that possible correction then I would be modding you up.
I don't know about you, but when I feel like I am being preached to I feel like the source is intending to preach the message. Somehow I don't think The Matrix is a result of the Wachowski brothers wanting to teach you a lesson and warn you. No more than Star Trek is trying to teach me to watch out for quickly reproducing fur balls that make a strange noise.
Theres no big story to the sentinels. The first episode showed them being developed anyway, just watch again and pay more attention to the economic expansion section.
This game has imprinted itself into a part of my head. When I first beat the game, I didn't have a functioning sound card so I listened to Deftones' White Pony for the first half of the game. Now, whenever I listen to any song on that cd I feel like I am in the game again. You know how when you play a game long enough that your mind works and uses patterns in a very specific manner. Yeah, turn on that music and I am looking out for Gunther Herman around the corner.
P.S. - I LOVE THAT GAME, so I am getting really impatient for D.E. 2
If you get the chance and desire to follow this advice, please do. I can understand reasons why not though.
Please try to buy comics comic by comic if you can instead of buying the series in a book. The comic world is at a rather low point, for a while now. Getting back issues isn't too hard. It supports the comic world better.
If 45% of traffic is patching... And 60% is spam... AND 70% of all traffic is porn...
That must mean that approx. 5% of the 45% of patching traffic is actually spam which can sorta makes sense. Now, we can consider that 60% of the 70% of porn traffic is due to spam, then the rest of it can be blamed to patching (in cryptic easter eggs)!
HAHAHA! Now none of the porn coming to my computer is my fault! All of it is due to unwarranted and/or necessary traffic! Come on kids, tell your parents now that the non-spam porn is actually Microsoft's fault!
How is this a good cause? I am asking out of sheer curiosity, not against the statement. If there is a legitimate reason to cracking it, then can someone point me to some literature about this subject, or just explain to me why TiVo deserves to be cracked in this manner???
I'm just confused, sounds like this is cracking, and last time I checked thats a pretty illegitimate thing to do, even advocate.
You seem to think all propaganda is bad propaganda. This is not true. Here is a couple of definitions - (courtesy of www.dictionary.com)
1. The systematic propagation of a doctrine or cause or of information reflecting the views and interests of those advocating such a doctrine or cause.
2. Material disseminated by the advocates or opponents of a doctrine or cause: wartime propaganda.
n : information that is spread for the purpose of promoting some cause
________________________________
None of these state anything of negativity. The word propaganda is like the word stress, they are both so commonly used by the mainstream in a negative context that people accept the meaning to reflect that specific intention in all applications of the term.
Propaganda is just as useful today as it was before. It's just been overused as a buzzword and its past its prime of use as such.
Poor word, being so misused by against-the-power activists and the like.:)
I hope Im not being redundant with other posts about this topic, but this worm brings up one of the most idiotic and everlasting stupidities about society. Its the fact that the software company can go around saying "its in the EULA" and possibly slip by this whole situation. Ok, so they did do it by legal means, but were adults, and there is no EULA out there that defies the reality of the software that it supports. The reality in this context is that this software is a worm. This company is knowingly abusing the user. If the government doesnt act empathetic to victims of this and ignore that it IS a worm, then it is just another disgusting step in which the government is no longer for the people, (instead for the corporations).
Wow, after seeing that trailer, I was cracking up so much I think I woke other people in the house. Jeez, my rebelious side is riled up, and I just want that game now. That is too much fun. Maybe when I feel more moral and inline in the middle of the day I will regret saying this, but damn, I want that movie now.
It just made me think during watching it. Its human nature to enjoy sex and sensational themes, yet our religious and "civilized" side just wants us to fit in some pure ideal. But the most fun is where we are right now. We are not in sheer puritan minded times, but we havent degraded to utter pathetically primitive attitudes. Were in the balance right now where we can enjoy the advantages of both ends. We arent at either extreme. So enjoy!
Umm, yeah, but there is also Hacking Windows 2000 exposed - which is pretty much the same size as the other two. Hacking Linux exposed was more in depth than its predecessor, and the same with HEW2K. So your comment by no standards solves the question at hand, nor does it verify whether the the article is flamebait.
"One word of caution however: On Friday, December 6th, 2002, the beta will expire, at which time access to encrypted data will be prevented."
Is there something I am misunderstanding? I would believe that few people would use this if the data was unusable past December. Wouldn't not doing this make more people use it, and in turn more rigorously test the program?
* This can be particularly true in the open source world where documentation can often take a back seat to implementation. *
I dont know to what degree this is meant, but I would never find myself stating this alone. I think open source generally has incredible documentation. The only comparison to open source is closed source, and I don't think there is much of a question of which one is stronger at documentation. Even when I do find closed source documentation, it is rarely verbose enough. Another strong point to open source documentation is that it is only getting better. While most closed source development just leaves release info and install info (often just informing the location of files), open source documentation projects are often an undermovement to projects themselves. I don't deny there are exceptions, like this article and some other projects, systems, etc (particularly very small ones), but if it wasnt for the incredible open source documentation out there, that is so persistently provided that I always expect it, then I wouldnt have ever been able to detach myself from the closed source hells I have been used to.
Unlike many others, I have not had such luck with laptop installation. My greatest problem occured yesterday. I installed Mandrake 8.2 on a Sony Vaio PCG-FXA53. First I tryed fixing some Xwindows problems, but on reboot, the laptop died. It now refuses to turn on what so ever. It exhibits no power confirmation from either battery or a wall outlet. The laptop was designed for XP, so I guess that is my problem. I'm actually assuming that the problem is concerning ACPI. I hope to get it replaced today, but Im afraid of telling them I put linux on it. Whether its cable modem companys or resellers, most places refuse to deal with your product if a non-windows OS has touched it.
Had its moments of glory?! What about.NET? Even anti-MS linux friends are hailing MS giving them the ability to code across platforms with MS's latest intiatives. I am definitely not a big window's fan, but you cant deny that they dont stop developing in every area they can. They may be copying ideas and using tactics that I personally hate, but they have been the only reason that countless technology sectors have advanced or existed as long as they have. And with its PR it is the best company to bring any technology to Joe Q. Public, and make it viable.
Also, lets not forget that MS often employs the "If you can't beat 'em, make them a part of us". Ex.- SSP Solutions is coming out with the EDGE security suite, which has strong potential in the future, and MS is now working with them. With major technology advancements, you can expect MS to become a part of it, if not at least propeciate it. It even propeciates Linux by having a POS OS, but I guess thats unintentional.

The drivers will work on any "Built by ATI" Radeon 8500 or higher card (up to the 9700).
What about the ATI mobility series? I use a laptop and I am tired of having to dual boot just in order to have fun at a LAN party.
