John invited his mother over for dinner. During the meal, his mother couldn't help noticing how beautiful John's roommate was. She had long been suspicious of a relationship between John and his roommate and this only made her more curious.

Over the course of the evening, while watching the two interact, she started to wonder if there was more between John and the roommate than met the eye. Reading his mum's thoughts, John volunteered, "I know what you must be thinking, but I assure you, Julie and I are just roommates."

About a week later, Julie came to John and said, "Ever since your mother came to dinner, I've been unable to find the beautiful silver gravy ladle. You don't suppose she took it, do you?" John said, "Well, I doubt it, but I'll write her a letter just to be sure."

So he sat down and wrote: "Dear Mother, I'm not saying you 'did' take a gravy ladle from my house, and I'm not saying you 'did not' take a gravy ladle. But the fact remains that one has been missing ever since you were here for dinner."

Several days later, John received a letter from his mother which read: "Dear Son, I'm not saying that you 'do' sleep with Julie, and I'm not saying that you 'do not' sleep with Julie. But the fact remains that if she was sleeping in her own bed, she would have found the gravy ladle by now.

I will never understand these handhelds. I have only ever used these devices when I was a small kid. The graphics are terrible and the screens tiny. Why do you want to use them.

I can never use them even if on a journey. They are annoyingly small and the controls are flimsy. They don't stand up to the likes of the XBox and PS2. I understand that those are two different types of products, but these machines seem useless.

Surely these devices are aimed mainly at the 5-12 age bracket. Anyone older would need something more stimulating than these. What does everyone else think?

You have to love the people that purchase the products as they come out. This brings the price down into manageable levels.

I had a person who bought a digital camera as they came out and paid some huge amount of money for a 1 megapixel monster that sounded like it used a steam boiler to power the camera. Brought back memories of the old room-sized computers. People like him make it easier for the rest of us to purchase technology that would normally be out of our reach.

What is your basis of South Africa turning into a Zimbabwe. For one thing stay ontopic and move your racism to another forum.

This has nothing to do with Verisign. Mark sold Thawte to Verisign and is using the money for better causes. The money that is being used for this initiative is Mark's and the partners involved, NOT Verisign. If you understood the situation in South Africa, which I do as a citizen, any new way to save money that could be put to use in a better way is something to look at.

In my home country, South Africa, we have a monopoly with regards to telephone companies. Our ADSL service has a 3Gig per month cap that has been in place since it was implemented.

After the cap amount has been exceeded, you are dropped to another IP range with lower bandwidth. Terrible idea in my mind. If there is to be a limit, 3Gig on broadband is far too low.
