99 Minute CDs?

...these things are a myth. Sometimes you'll get 80 minutes out of them, but I've yet to meet anyone who's ever gotten the full 99, and the price premium for the things for what amounts to a crap shoot (will you get a couple extra minutes out of it or not?) is hardly worth it.
...why the hell were you registering through NSI? Every single registrar out there is better than NSI, whose customer service is, seriously, the worst in the business.
You'll have no trouble registering domain names with "dirty" words in them (including "fuck" and "shit") with other registrars, such as register.com and joker.com.
I know plenty of people who have registered.EDU domains without being an accredited 4-year institution. Someone once told me that I'd have a hard time getting a.net domain without being an ISP. And, though I'm not a commercial entity (though credit card companies seem to think I am!), I had no problems getting a.com either.
These rules will be adhered to about as strictly as all the others.
I did the same with wmaker and xawtv with my little lame WinTV card. It just sits up in the corner out of the way most of the time, but if anything interesting happens to catch my attention, it's easier to divert my attention to another window on the same screen than it would be to turn or move to another part of the room to watch TV.
I just dropped a ton of cash on a black rack cabinet and some new rackmount PCs, just because I didn't like the way the old beige boxes looked. The lone remaining PC is in a convenient part of my room, with a huge monitor on top of a decent desk with a comfortable chair.
I bought a TV card for it and, much to my surprise, found myself watching TV so much on the PC that I got rid of the television set in the room. An HDTV card (and a rather affordable one, at that) would be great, if it'll eventually work in Linux.

That's couldn't care less. If you could care less, why, then, you would, wouldn't you?
AIX's installer is known as "nim", and, if I'm not mistaken, it's possible to do an install on a machine in a separate subnet. Installs can actually be initiated from the nim server, too, so nobody actually needs to be at the machine(s) in order to start an install.
...they probably held their heads upright, but scientists aren't sure. They're still researching it, but, if you keep visiting the website, chances are, you'll see something posted there about it sooner or later.
The article says this is a company competing with a Bill Gates-funded satellite broadband company, among others. Nowhere is there any mention of it being Gates-funded, much less Microsoft-owned!
Actually, at least one player I know of has SDMI built in -- the Sony Memory Stick player. That doesn't mean it won't play normal MP3 files too (nobody would buy it if it didn't, let's be serious), but it's got the capability.
Because guess what, I am going to rat. And I am not the only one.
Assuming they didn't use RIPE, ARIN, or APNIC data to compile their database (and even assuming they did), what's the big deal? I don't even consider this an invasion of privacy, much less anything to worry about. Then again, slashdot users will bitch about just about anything (yet do absolutely nothing to "solve" the "problem".)
Company I work at, when I started working there, did all its documents in FrameMaker. Nobody seemed to have a problem with it; it was sufficiently powerful for the kind of stuff (hundred-page docs, tables, pictures, indexes, TOCs, etc) we were doing.
Then, someone, somewhere, decided our documentation people should use Word.
That decision lasted all of three weeks.
We're back to FrameMaker. Word was just far, far too inadequate for our needs. And we're a *small* software company.

tell me visions.edu is a 4-year college.
then tell me what courses I can enroll in at root.edu.
Imaginal.edu looks a little suspicious too.
insurancefactory.edu? A college that does nothing but sell insurance?
people have mentioned california.edu before; it's just a portal site for every california college, but it isn't a school itself.
schools.edu is registered too.
discountproductmall.edu used to be.
clue.edu doesn't give out degrees either.
