I'm also travelling round the world. I can highly recommend the crumpler bags, really tough fabric, ample padding, comfortable straps and waterproof. Only downside is they're expensive. Cheapest place I found them is Simm Limm square, Singapore.
What with this and the recent TAM flights. I'm all interested in creating a flight control computer, what information have people found with regard to creating software to fly fixed wing aircraft?
Does anyone know if I can get something similar to a cuecat in the UK? Ratshack are going under here. I want to reverse engineer the tesco home shopping system, so I can barcode scan my rubbish and have my computer automagically build a new shopping list:)
I Have the G400 MAX, its run really nicely under Debian 2.1 for a while now. Xfree4.0 will support it, as soon as Precision Insight release their drivers for it RSN. There are Linux clocking utils for these and all the info you need is on matroxusers.com I'm a satisfied user!:)

`Now, in January 2000, Matrox has contracted Precision Insight to develop the Matrox Millennium G400 XFree86 4.0 DRI driver . Although largely optimized for the Matrox G400, this driver will support 2D and 3D features common to both the Matrox G200 and G400 chips. In addition, it will also offer multi-monitor capability to Matrox G400 DualHead users.'
FWIW I think this is a great thing to do. I've never experienced severe weather and probably never will. Being British, I'm born with a genetic imperfection which makes me obsessed with weather. (ask any briton about the wether!) This site is as close as I'll ever get to experiencing it live. Kudo's to the folks that have put this up, I'll be watching intently, and hoping that their kit doesn't get smashed, cos I know how i'd feel if mine did!
It pretty much looks after itself, distro is unimportant.
I believe that microsoft solutions have a lower TCO than linux based ones...... ;)

I don't read the independant, certainly not after this diatribe.
Also has this guy been living under a rock:
" you'll struggle to find a Linux office package with anything like the quality of Office XP."
nuts! XP AND quality in the same sentence?!
Come on Sun lets see some serious marketing for Staroffice, that's the kick that Linux needs.. PUBLICITY!!
So is there no attempt to reverse engineer the infra red/radio protocal these keyboards use?... Webtv keyboard --> little box o trix --> Linux box
I'm Glad someone likes what we're doing! :)
