    Sorry, but that machine has very little marketing potential.
    A $449 machine, without a monitor, and with the specs you mentioned just doesnt cut it, when you can buy something like this, at a very similar price.

    Oracle already has a similar product, the Oracle IFS. It's been there for almost 2 years now.

    The only difference i could see is that all content is stored in a centralized repository(Oracle Db), instead of Microsoft's SQL server in every box strategy.

    Apart from the regular obligatory joke about running DPKG on Cygnus on WINE on Linux, one wonders how this thing uses the Windows registry.
    Most windows apps still use the registry to store app specific info.
    Will dpkg use the same?

    I would imagine most /.ers read even -1 posts, so having it as a comment would give a lot of visibility ...
    If there was a way to tailor ads to the Story, that would be welcome too! Google-style again..
    This step should also hugely decrease the annoyance value.

    It infects through the Shared drives..Copies itself to any available open shares on the Network.. 3 infection paths 1) Unpatched webservers 2) Emails 3)Shared drives.. Checkout Symantec's pagefor more details.
